I do hope some of or at least one of these Yamaha sirens do get preserved, despite being 70+ years old they haven't given up playing some beautiful pieces of music. As a electro mechanical type siren these are some very unique sirens, it's sad to see them slowly face their demise and a fantastic piece of engineering like this will never be made again in the future so I really hope the people of Japan do get some restored and preserved for future generations

these were about 106 db @ 100 ft, meaning you'd be able to listen to it at the distance that the original video was taken. at that distance, it'd be just loud enough that your hearing would begin to distort. p.s. there were only about 200 of them that ever existed, and there were about 100-200 songs that were played.
