After sighting in at 60 feet, I could easily cover 5 shots with a nickel kzbin.infoUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL ! Truly a pleasure to shoot! Scope was easy to adjust for eye relief. Only problem the varmints must have seen it delivered lol!Update: So impressed with shot groups at 30 yards I purchased a Hammers 3×9 with adjustable Objective scope! Now a true nail driver!

I have an old R7 I purchased in San Rafel in 1983. I visited the Beeman store many times a month back in that year. I've purchased a new Breech seal as the 1983 one was very smashed - yet the gun still shoots well. Just think I'll clean it a bit before the summer comes.. thanks for the video. We'll have snow and cold temps here in Colorado so can't think of a better time to try this.

The project went great!! Thanks. I used a bar clamp and long socket (just laid inside the main tube) to keep the spring compressed while I took the screw out, then just slowly loosened the bar clamp, and the rest is history. Was nice to get it all cleaned up. The piston seal is in great shape - I was surprised. *** Should you read this, my main spring was a little bent - still in good shape but not straight. It's lightly oiled and I see no issues but any factual idea if a slightly bent main spring might cause a loss of power / other issues. I had the gun "Super Tuned" at Beeman back then and did notice a few differences between the schematic and my gun, but not much of a change. I read in the older Beeman's they might have used a larger wire diameter for the spring - but I don't know if true.

Good video mate !! For anyone struggling to get the 4 square trigger housing plugs out , apply pressure to end with coins or washers wrapped in tape, the same process for next step, removal of housing. Just found on couple rifles, they are very tight, under pressure !!. Great rifle for hunting, carry it all day.

You can use your thumb to act as a guide when turning the screws to prevent scratching and buggering the screws or adjacent surfaces by keeping your screwdriver centered in the slot.

Is there a way to disable the auto safety? I’d rather not have it. Any cutting/grinding involved or is it a spring or the whole thing?

Great video! Was thinking of putting a Vortek pg 2tuning kit in my hw 95. This looks like it's not too difficult. Will my gun being new be a little harder getting apart? Also thanks for complete take apart, most videos start with the stock off! Thanks!
@2lbsTrigrPull3 жыл бұрын
It's easy to take apart even when they are new. ;) Only the screw on trigger block types of guns like the 97 or 77 can be very difficult to take apart because they have the trigger block screwed into the cylinder when they are applying the blueing, which results in a rusted on trigger block. You have to heat that piece up pretty good to get it off. Best done with a heat gun. The 95 or 98 on the other hand are a walk in the park when you have the right tools. The rifle in this video was taken apart for the first time too. 😉👍

@@2lbsTrigrPull Thanks for the reply. That's good to know. I also have a hw97k, but it shoots really good, so i'm going to leave it stock for now. I want to use the 95 for hunting, so hopefully it will quiet it down some also. Thanks again, and i subbed!

Would the HW30 disassemble the same way as shown in this video? I think I recall it being mentioned that twisting the spring tube like you did would damage the inside or something of the sort?
@2lbsTrigrPull9 жыл бұрын
+Tal Arden The HW30 is even easier. There are only two pins you have to punch out for the trigger unit and safety to come off. After that you have to make sure you support the trigger housing (which holds the spring and piston in place) at the back of the rifle. Press the back end of the rifle against a surface so tension on the trigger housing is loosened. After that you can remove a small setscrew which, to that point, holds the spring under pressure. After you have undone the setscrew you can remove the spring and piston. The spring doesn't have much preload on the smaller HW rifle so all can be done by hand without the need of a spring compressor. On the HW30 you don't need to twist parts, well except for the screws. If you forget to remove the four little blocks on the HW95 you will definitely damage the trigger unit if you slip with whatever tool you are using. Same for the HW97 if you don't remove the trigger unit. It's always better to remove the trigger unit first as it holds all the small parts with only a thin sheet metal plate. And that can easily bend. Here's a pictured take down of the HW30: targettune.wordpress.com/2012/02/11/tuning-weihrauch-30s-or-r7-part-i-dis-assembly/ Always punch out the pins from the right side as I did in the video and punch them in from the left side. This way you make sure the holes won't wear out as fast.

Yes I’m familiar with punches. At 1:55 you depress the spring, turn a cap and extract it- I always understood one needed a threaded rod pusher & a cradle to do this
@2lbsTrigrPull2 жыл бұрын
@@DrewDiaz It's a German 7,5 Joule spring. They are not as long as the FAC American springs for example and are very easy to remove. You don't need any spring compressor or something like this. In and out by hand. 😄👍🤜

@2lbsTrigrPull2 жыл бұрын
@@DrewDiaz Generally Weihrauchs are on the weaker end of muzzle energy and the result is more accuracy. The springs are also pretty soft and the only Weihrauch I know, for which you would need a spring compressor is the HW80. For any other models you can take them apart and put them together wihtout any special tools. For your Slovak I guess it's a different story. 😄👍🤜

@2lbsTrigrPull9 жыл бұрын
Mick Wilson For the 85 it's the same procedure and for the HW80 it's almost like the HW97 with screw out end piece. But I already covered the 80 disassembly. They are easy rifles to strip and work on and there are a lot of spare parts available. The spring on the 80 differs from the 85/95/97. It is bigger in OD and ID with thicker spring steel.
