We all knew the offense would come together and had the potential of being one of the best in the league. It's the defense, they're ranked 21st on defensive rating as of 11/20. They get absolutely murdered in the paint every game. They're not coming out of the east with this type of defense. They're extremely fun to watch offensively, I can't deny that. I wish I could feel confident in Mitch returning and being healthy throughout the season to give us that paint defense and be the anchor he is but we know that's not realistic and we can't pretend that Achiuwa will come in and be that guy for us in the Frontline the whole season, that's not realistic. Our hands are tied when it comes to making moves as well so this roster is kind of locked in. I hope they can figure it out defensively cause they need a lot more than just offense to make it out of the east.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct!! I really wish more commentators would focus on this!! They seem to think you can just outscore teams to win a championship! Have never happened in the history of the NBA. Only teams that are good defensively win championships! This needs to be the main thing people discuss about this Knicks team!! But I have hope cause Thibs is known as a great defensive coach! He will put the right guys together to get us a Great defense! I have faith in his ability to create a great defense!
