His trigger control is fantastic. I've just got an Evolution myself, using 0.4 setup. My first 'serious' airbrush, so far I'm loving it. Keep up the good work H&S!

I usually use brown in shades for red. It works really nicely. Here it also "looks brown" to my eyes in the shadows. An other thing I tried is do the shadows in blue. It get's a really lovely shade when tinted with red :)

Another great video✌️👍💜😊 As remarkable as some of those figures are, with superb finishing, it would be good to see other disciplines of modelling though, Eg built up models, of the; military (AFVs), Aircraft, Boats/Ships (larger scale RC) and Railways (larger scales) genres too👍👍💜😊 I wrote recently how I went off piste to try a non airbrush acrylic red through my fire hose AB (Paasche H 😄) and it plasticised very quickly and badly blocked the uplift/feed pipe and everything else. My reasoning was, it was the perfect red, satin/gloss etc and should cover well without obscuring details (I'd thinned it and the like to perfection). I'd used a white base. In hindsight perhaps I should have gone back to Citadel or similar, painted on a matt red then drifted some varnish or Klear atop. From now on I'll stick with paints I know (although I'm still working my way through varnishes to find one that suits me - Ammo and AK are good contenders thus far, AK can be used with a paint brush too). Having said that until allergies struck I knew every property and ways of working with enamels, acrylics are my latest learning curve and that's been ongoing for some 5-6 years or more! I learned recently, don't experiment with new paint at 9pm either, not the best time of day for disasters. Also in many ways my three H&S brushes are easier to clean and put on the varnishes well. I've done the "Dred" modification to two of my H&S brushes and that has improved the trigger and paint control to perfection - atomisation was already great. They're now as good or better than ABs in the Iwata range that are a LOT more expensive. However one does have to be mindful that if wanting to use the Infinity lockable/adjustable tail/trigger stop such modifications will stop it's function, and on the lockable stops for the Evolution only one modified washer/seal can be used (instead of two). Horses for courses, there is nothing wrong, per se, with SFTB H&S brushes, this mod/tweak just refines use of them for those not concerned with an adjustable or lockable tail/trigger stop and wanting even more precision - one can guild the Lilly so it would seem ✌️🤔👍💜😊

Really good vid! I used this method for my World Eaters from Cult of Paint's own video on them 👌 and damn that's a nice airbrush! The control with it when he did that test line and squiggle... mine definitely couldn't do that 😂 maybe time for an upgrade 🤔

It looks great and I love what you've done with it with the various settings, literally idiot proof 😂 however I picked up an evolution 2 in 1 a couple of weeks a go as there was a 10% off deal and I have to say I'm really impressed! Absolutely 💯 naturally the air paints are a little better - we like to thin them minimum 1:1 with their thinner and they work great.

There's some really bad artifacting specifically when Andy starts with the first coat. Makes it hard to make out how the color actually goes on.

Oh come on. The video series has been really good and interesting so far. But now? Space Marines and Citadel Colors? Can't you do something more interesting instead of that bland stuff that is literally everywhere like a plague? Do some Infinity Miniatures, an interesting bust or something from the million Patreons please!

Thanks for the feedback buddy. Our thinking is that we're trying to feature a really good grounding in basics at first. In terms of complex projects and techniques, there are many really great content creators out there, Andy being one, featuring what you're discussing. We WILL, however, take on some more radical projects as the channel matures, but for now, we're really keen to just ensure that we feel that we've looked after the basics on the channel first. Hope that makes more sense to you now!
