I am a binge watcher of aviation videos and the teamwork of these two super professionals is among the best I've seen. The way they stay calm and focused while dealing with multiple approach changes is exemplary. And there are no gender issues here, both are great pilots.

The best part was the CRM. And they knew exactly what their individual role was. And they were super prompt in taking steps/actions. Also they were super polite and obedient to each other. One of the best rapports of pilots i have seen ever. The PM was so cordial in configuring new waypoints, frequencies and ILS maintaining his super calmness even though they were almost tossed 3 times with new runways and at last an NDB approach, and he also maintained close coordination with the ATC and kept a close look on callouts and what his PF was doing. And great situational awareness of both the crew. A perfect 10 on 10 on all parameters

yes its a first officer being observed by the company's head pilot for the type of plane they are flying. usually this is a test of her abilities to describe the procedures and talk back to the chief pilot in a calm and professional manner describing her plans and how she executes company and Airbus policies. Typically the chief pilot would evaluate her technical and flying skills to decide to recommend if she is competent to continue flying or needs to take other action either to protect the flying public or to train her for potential promotion to captain status.

I know I'm only an old glider pilot with a few thousand hrs under My belt but you can see why the Germans were/are so good at making and flying aircraft. *precision. I would love to soar in 'glass' with these guys any day. I was always amazed during my gliding/instructing career how many international, domestic pilots/powered pilots STILL flew gliders on their days off! I asked a friend of mine who was one of the highest ranking 747 pilots in my country at the time (He was a check Captain that trained other 747 captains) "Why do you fly gliders on your days off?"...he said..."gliding..is really flying for me, minimal technology and your ability to feel the sky that keeps you aloft" I bet you any money you like these two experts flew gliders in their teens/early career...that approach was a pure 'hold it off, hold it of' a glider pilot approach. The best thing about glider pilots getting their landings perfect is.... WE CAN'T GO AROUND!! Oh, and she is so lovely and professional!!
