During my master’s research on the Airbus A380, I found that demand for extended long-haul nonstop flights is decreasing. Airlines and passengers are favoring smaller, more fuel-efficient aircraft that can operate on point-to-point routes, offering greater flexibility and cost savings. Consequently, airlines have reduced their purchases of the A380, opting instead for smaller aircraft that can serve more destinations efficiently rather than relying on a single large aircraft for long-haul flights.
@peterfinn6098Ай бұрын
@@vineelpatibanda3805i disagree since hub to hub is the market for this aeroplane. And the fact the legacy carriers need them even more, that can make them work. The number of people flying will only increase and slots are already full. I know most A380 flights to certain destinations are often overbooked. It is a popular aircraft too and should have been stretched to the -900 version and with a possible 11 abreast in economy that still reflects today’s comfort standard. So the economics would work very well.

Boeing bet that the market would end in less than 2 decades... and it did. Boeing presented a supersized B-747 rather than a new plane. It had already committed to the B-777 and soon to be released B-787. Entire market was changing from Hub and Spoke to Point to Point Regional Airports. The market for large was going to end. Like Airbus, Boeing also quite making it's own Jumbo Jet. It is also phasing out 57's and 67's. B-737, B-777, and B-787 is where the demand is now. Their 797 is already being designed, but won't be released for 5-10 more years. *_Boeing appreciates what Airbus has contributed to Aviation..._*
