In fact the a350 of Sichuan airlines hasn't been delivered and all 350s of mainland China airlines are still in Toulouse. This is because the newaircraft didn't receive the qualifications from CAAC until recent days. It's estimated that Air China will receive their 350 in Aug.

Could you now make a video analyzing who is now the real winner of Farnborough
@DjsAviation6 жыл бұрын
It's impossible to really deem who the winner is of an airshow. Both manufacturers received a huge number of orders with both being well into the hundreds. Something they'd be proud of. In Boeing's case, the 747-8 program received a boost while on the side of Airbus their A330neo program received much-needed love.

@Soevein6 жыл бұрын
$23.4 billion for just 17 a350? R u sure the number is right? average list price of an a350 is less than $400mio (according to Airbus 2018 list price a350-900 list price is $317.4mio and a350-1000 list price is $366.5mio) and which should add up to $6.8 billion only ... even if u includes other cost of other services and programs i don't think it'll go to that much.

@ilovelimpfries6 жыл бұрын
It's been reported that Airbus is giving out huge discounts, an unheard of 72% for the A220. Its an indicator of how much confidence they have in the A220 or they need to corner the market quick before Boeing starts selling the E2 jets.
@DjsAviation6 жыл бұрын
Yeh saw that and did a video. Pretty crazy!
@davidsilver43396 жыл бұрын
Even though Embraer and Bombardier certainly compete, their planes are somewhat different in terms of capacity and range, the C series (A220) are larger, with more range ( and now ETOPS certification) and more expensive than the E2’s. In fact, the A220 will compete with the 737max 8 and A319neo. Carriers will make their decisions based on their individual needs. Plenty of room for both families of planes.
@ilovelimpfries6 жыл бұрын
Didnt know you did that. I read it off an article. I bet existing C series customers arent too thrilled upon hearing about those discounts. I think Airbus primary reason is that they need a quick strike on the A220 before the expected Embraer-Boeing tie up on the E2 jets.
@ilovelimpfries6 жыл бұрын
They might be catering to different markets but I think gap it's too close for comfort. Buying the A220 although more expensive (although with the crazy discounts airbus giving, one could argue) it does offer an operator with more flexibility when you take account about the efficiency and running cost of the A220. It's very close to the E2.

Isn’t it odd/depressing how I developed the African market is? By now I would’ve expected it to be booming like Asia’s market is and that there would be multiple budget airlines with fleets in the 100s for the likes of A220/320/1 and 737. South America is also a hugely undeveloped market
@ibaialberdi6 жыл бұрын
abingdonboy the reason for South America not having developed as much as Europe regarding flights, is because of politics. There are some videos explaining this on KZbin. Look for “Ryanair effect” . Basically every South American country is trying to protect the national airlines. About Africa, I have no idea, but I think there are some new airlines starting over there.
@abingdonboy6 жыл бұрын
Ibai Alberdi yeah I’ve heard bits and pieces about S.American protectionist politics stunting domestic aviation growth. Just seems to myopic and unfortunate. There are vast markets out there that are still so undeveloped. With the kind of per capita income that exists there there the market should be booming

@toom21416 жыл бұрын
I actually think Airbus disappointed a lot. Also, they did not get any A380 order. Also, I think the A220 should be subtracted from those 431 orders. So, in total Airbus received about 371 orders. So half of that what Boeing received.
@parimal75286 жыл бұрын
Had it not for Airbus, airline would not have gone with Bombardier. By this logic, DC aircrafts should not be part of Boeing aircrafts !

Airbus has way more user friendly planes and seen in 2018 a plane from Boeing having the rear gear been visible externally like the "max" is at least stupid. i don't gind it even safe to have the gear exposed like that. for mw airbus has more practical and good looking planes. also Aegean Airlines from Greece ordered neos more than 30 few weeks ago
@cyriljohntomenlaco91926 жыл бұрын
Johnnyxp64 but why boeing still winning the air show then?

Still nothing for the A380? Disappointing lack of orders from British Airways, which continue to allow themselves to become an irrelevant airline. Literally, not even any orders for the A320NEO family... Unless they're leasing, which they seem to be doing more and more.
@AB-im4bz6 жыл бұрын
HMSDaring1?? Ba is flying a320neo already with a321neo on order. Are you only buying car if there's a car show in town? It's not many but ba will fly planes until aluminum tape will stop holding their planes together
