I'm a very happy Boeing guy right now... nevertheless I'm still prepared for tomorrow's Airbus finals recap. It's all because of my Favourite "Dj's Aviation." ☆☆☆☆☆
@Guerry-36 жыл бұрын
Thank-you for this Boeing summary, Dj. However, I will wait until you post, and I hear your Airbus summary before rendering my speculation on who succeeded or failed, or if it was just too close to call this year. Nevertheless, I managed to give each of your Farnborough reports complete focus, which has only strengthened my knowledge of the airline industry. For this, I have the greatest appreciation for your work. Until tomorrow...

CONGRATS BOEING! The 777F and 747-8 are very successful because these are long range efficient cargo aircraft. I am really looking forward to the MAX 10. The A320neo really had a bad outlook because of those engine problems and delays.
@sheepswool86086 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't have said the 747-8 was 'successful'. The 8i is practically dead in the water whilst the 8i picks up a few orders here and there (but nothing major). The 777F is probably gonna be the main cargo craft of the future imo.
@cjever66256 жыл бұрын
Sheeps Wool Sorry I forgot the F in 747-8.. The freighter version is as successful as the earlier 747-400F, ERF, BCF.

Can you make video abaut why 737 is so popular after 51 years.
@LunnarisLP6 жыл бұрын
efficient, cheap and flexible I'd say. + The 737 these days is just nothing like the old ones. 737 in general has a huge amount of different aircrafts.

Fantastic video mate! Really great seeing you do this topic or the Farnborough Airshow, In Geo.fs (An online plane simulator) has A Virgin Australia 737 max? But it's still pretty cool. Hope Virgin is interested in purchasing a 737-8 Max! Like I said a fantastic video mate! Absolutely LIKED FOR SURE!

Great video as always! One slight nitpick - Gol (Officially known as Gol Transportes Aéreos, translated "Gol Air Transport") is not an acronym, it's a name. "Gol" is the Spanish/Portuguese variant of the word "Goal". No doubt the airline was named due to the popularity of Football in the region.

Great video! Horray for the 747-8F orders and a big thank you to Volga-Dnepr Airlines! DJ, do you think any other cargo carriers will order the 747? I think Kalitta is a possibility and I also heard that Atlas Air were interested in a few more -8F's. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks for the great content and constant updates this past week!

Aircrafts like B737 for Boeing & A320 for Airbus is what the demand is & would continue to be. With maximum orders being placed by Asian carriers, it's not surprising that A320neo family & B737max took the maximum share of total orders. What I hope is Airbus & Boeing both continue to work in developing A320 & B737 aircrafts respectively to even much more advance stage. Airbus has already made lot of development in this aspect by launching Airspace design for A320neo family aircrafts as well as A321LR in terms of range which will help point to point connections even further

Question: do you think that the fact that Boeing has yet to reveal the specifications for the 797 had a measurable impact on sales during this air show?
@lukasmihara6 жыл бұрын
I just hope all these new 737s are much quieter than the old ones. Living close to an international airport, I can say that the 737s are one of the loudest planes, despite being rather small.

I don't think Jet Airways will stay firm on their order. They already have enough small jets and with the resurrection of Air India, it's gonna be a tough competition for ticket sales in India. On the other side, they will maybe change the order to 777X because of the ever growing demand of long routes particularly from Jet Airways for their flexibility and approach

Good for Boeing but I'm more of an Airbus person. If Ryanair ever gets an a380 it will truly become and Air-bus ...... No??? Ok I'll go home now.
@od3d-6 жыл бұрын
I personally prefer boeing due to the more hand flying, but airbus seems like a cool system which is relatively convenient for pilots. And that is how you solve the boeing vs airbus argument

Boeng is winning the market, nobody wants the neo nobody wants the a330 neo or 1000, or a350's I mean looks at sales compared to 787's nobody wants the a380 plus or neo whatever hey call it, its obvious boeing is going to continue to be successful for decades to come with the max the 777x, and newly announced 797 and 787 will continue for a long time. its the fuel efficient reliablemarket that airlines want. not oversized planes or copycats of boeing, yes I love airbus too I am not saying bad things about them amazing planes, Read more
