I have the same model and I love it. I get 77 fpe with the Jsb 33.95s. I’m looking forward to trying the H&N 27 grain .218s slugs. This rifle is a beast.

And I remember thinking at 11 years old thinking my Sheridan with a peep sight made me king of the world.

The .25 cal version for me did 105-110fpe with 50grain slugs. All airguns seem to get 200fps more when using sabots made with lead. When I made 50grain .25 lead sabots with a .201 hardened steel center slug I got it to shoot at 136fpe. So I was wondering if I were to get 50grsin .22 slugs would it do at least 95-100fpe the Low end of what the .25 does at 50 grains? I like smaller slugs because each cal smaller doubles the deepness of penetration which is why lead sabots rock the outside lead flattens like a hollow point while the smallest caliber center slug retains big cal energy but converts it to the super effiencnt way the small caliber is able to penetrate. Plus the lead untilike a plastic grabs and spins with the rifling keep it accurate. So are there .22 50-60grain slugs this gun could shoot? Sad they replaced it with the bigger, bulkier, weaker, more expensive, uglier, less powerfully eagle claw boof but whatever Im buying this model. So .22 50-60grains is it doable? From this video I could do a sabot like treat some .177 or .201 slugs into super hardening substance then make a lead sabot around that and add 200fps to speed and get to at least 50fpe so it'll be able to shoot at what about 1180-1300fps, crazy! I'm replacing 22lr rifles. I replaced my semi auto every day with a $600 aea hp semi auto bullpup in .25 I shoot sabots with ,115fpe 16rnd magazines it works great my huben gk1,1 pistols coming with solid slugs I'll max out at 60fpd but the sabot hits up at 80fpe so a little stronger than a 22lr pistol with the same length barrel so I'll replace my pistols then to. Then the last thing is a lever action, if I can get this sucker to fly at least 95-,100fpe using heavy solid .22 slugs then it's dumbass good there perfect! My s45 .357 full size is my next project working using these sabots other day I had a 98.7grain .357 lead sabot .224 center slug hit 1389fps out the fucker and still hit on target! Outside of sabot mushroomed to pieces the center exploded inside the gell which crazy. If your shooting big bored to you can make dope sabots that are hollow accept the bottom and top and the top unscrews with the inside empty. I fill the fucker with tangeeite I did and on the lit there's a thing on spring where when the head of the slug hits s surface it pressed that spring in and putting fast pressure on the tannerite. It didn't work everyone. .457 worked best but then best way I found is like .257 or .,308 u want long calibers and hollow points. Hollow it out deep snd stuff for s huge hollow point. Then fill with tnaerite or whatever other completely legal bomb bomb is available. Fill and pack to the top. Then buy some cap and ball musket caps available at all sporty store.theyrr cheap just much better durable version of the cap gun cap. U then place that cap into the tip of the hollow point filled with powder. Make sure the surface that blows when it's hit is facing away from the power not into it. Then dab s super glue drop and you've got some crazy cool shit that works every time. I remember one 780+grain 72 cal for the zues. That was easy to cut and thread and hollow out and all that. Someone put like 2 m80 powder, tanerite, a pinch of gasoline, a bunch of cut up nails and a bunch of like 22cal metal bbs. Made the signature blast cal tlp for the bullet it had a hole for 8 blast cap to ensure it works and dude omg. We went like ,200 yards up an over a trashed pickup, shot one round and it looked like it got hit by a fucking missld or tanks. Insane! If you get gold at making the walls thin as shit it's a grenade where it hits and only half in it exploded before penetration happened. Like it hits and boom and the bullet go everywhere. Alot the time u shoot over ,1000fps it'll blow up in the target pretty fun stuff to mess with its so science fiction but so real and interesting ;;;

These are neat for sure, but for the money I'd go with the AF Condor.

Awesome pellet and gun but the Hornet...in my experience...is by far one of the most expensive pellets there is and comes very close to 40$ per tin with tax and shipping. Wonder how a Gamo Red Fire would do in this gun. A little more affordable ammo would be nice to see used 7.25$ @ Wal Mart. For 125. Just wondering that’s all. They are similar.

I couldn’t agree more! Barracuda hunters are a lot cheaper and do just as much damage! As long as your accurate any pellet will work! My #1 hunting pellet is a JSB King heavy mkii just because of how accurate they are!

Landon Emory truly brother for long range that’s hard to beat in .22 cal. For close range work...ie...under 50 yards...the Daisy Hollow Points 15.4 grain are totally awesome and giving me 1/2” groups at 50 yards with 9 of 11 PCPs. Good luck getting them though at the moment. Daisy/Gamo/BSA...is down at the moment due to Corona Virus crap and won’t be till at least another month till their availability from sellers/dealers including Daisy. Put a little RTV Silicon in the tip and level off smooth and watch the carnage. They expand on contact to almost .35 caliber at 920 FPS. An amazing affordable, high quality pellet that’s over looked so bad it is just stupid. Barcelona Spain is their new home of manufacturing...not China...HUGE DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY!💯👍

Here in Suriname south america i was lucky enough to find one in a air rifle store. I then went to research it before i bought it. Came across your vids (like your vids ) and others about the sumatra..and men..i am not sorry for spending almost $900 to buy it. A 25 pcp is illegal in my country and lots of paperwork to own one. But the 22 does the job. My only question is...can i stored it for months under pressure? I am not hunting every day.. but living close to the jungle area sometimes some small game can come close to my house..and you need to be ready. No time to pump.

You are better off leaving it fully pressurized. Cheers AGW
