Airless spray gun stuck - what could be wrong?

Lacquer thinner or acetone works great too to get rid of that nasty build up. I like to let it sit in there for a day and then flush it out through a few mesh bags to catch the crap so I can keep my thinner clean and cycle it back through the pump and lines. Keep the trigger pulled just like HVLP when putting the nozzle back on with needle already installed. Good stuff Mike 👍🏻

Yea sometimes just run it through the line without the gun on there too. That stuff can really get stuck in the gun. strain it and like you say run it though again. but sometimes the lacquer thinner gets stuff loose that you dont want loose. After that if you have mineral spirits then run that through for a bit. then Run water through after that. The mineral sprits pushes through that lacquer thinner so it does not eat stuff up. Mineral spirits and a little motor oil mixed together is what we used for pump saver. Then push that through with water if your pump is going to sit for a few months.

check those packings to see if they are not worn out too. they usually have a groove worn in the ball portion. If so replace them. Ebay and amazon have bedford kits.

Mike have you ever used the Amazon version of the silver gun .are they any good

no I havent. they probably arent made of very good steel and aluminum.

Hey Mike! Long time subscriber one question, where'd you find the 6ft Graco whip? Most I've been lucky with in Orange County are 3 or 4 foot whips. Thanks for all your teachings by the way!
