I have a feeling that Frontier Airlines will try to come back to acquire Spirit Airlines once they restructure and iron out all of their debt with their creditors in bankruptcy court. That way, Frontier Airlines won’t have to worry about inheriting a massive burden of debt, which is probably why Frontier Airlines walked away from acquiring Spirit Airlines this second go-around, leading Spirit Airlines to subsequently file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Noel Phillips did an experiment of which he added every single add on Spirit Airlines had and it ended up to be much more expensive than the same offering a full service airline like Delta has. Most people in reality aren’t just having carryon. They priced themselves out of the ‘budget’ airline space and people are figuring this out. With Ryanair, you could go a high amount of add ons and it still is cheaper than the same offering on a full service airline.

Was looking to fly with Spirit for the first time earlier this year but Frontier was the better choice. Had I known this I would have probably tried them out anyway.
