Godly men aren’t necessarily wise or good, and have been killing others for millennia...beware false prophets. His video said he’d drive to a marina and steal a boat, assuming it’ll be unsecured. And he’s a gun owner, who from his videos seems keen to concealed carry and willing to use said firearm. I’ve enjoyed his content for years but I think a gun owner openly condoning theft is just a step too close to the cranks preparing for the apocalypse. It’s no different from the looters who’d probably be robbing convenience stores, I’m pretty sure he’d take a dim view of that so this seems pretty hypocritical? I wonder if I’ll be subject of one of his next rants about viewers upsetting him. 😂

@@thelankyjim Cody did say that he has been in the boat building business (as i also have, working at a marina) and at marinas, both diesel and petrol (gasoline) are plentiful. I am pretty sure they would be getting a boat legally through a boat charter hire person, team or company. Cody would only resort to "stealing" a boat if the situation was dire, and it was a matter of life & death. I don't know if you are a Christian or not, but Jesus questioned Pharisees who were thinking badly of him for healing on a Sabbath, asking them if their son or ox fell into a well, would they not save the boy or ox? ..."One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched. There in front of him was a man suffering from abnormal swelling of his body.Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him on his way. Then he asked them, “If one of you has a child or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?”And they had nothing to say. - Luke 14:1-6 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke14:1-6&version=NIV " As for a firearm, he would not have time to get one in such a short time and I doubt that he goes anywhere unarmed, as he has a CC licence.

what's he going to do take it home with him and use it for vacations? if it's an emergency situation, you think he'll be the only person stealing boats? if he steals it out of a private marina then that would be unforgivable because then you're stealing somebody else's way of escape from them. but if it's a charter boat or something then l think the owners would be merciful considering the situation and cody wouldn't keep the boat or vandalize it so it's not like it's gone forever.

Nice kit, well thought out. My only suggestion is related to your emergency cash - break up the $500 in 20’s into a range of smaller bills. Some 10’s, 5’s and 1’s. The reason for this is because if electronic access to cash is disrupted in a large regional event such as an earthquake, vendors may not have the capacity to make change, and you don’t want to find yourself in a situation where you have to overpay for ‘X’ because the seller can’t or won’t give you change. This is based on my real-world experience during the great Northeast Blackout of 2003, where I found myself stranded in NYC with very little cash and all ATM’s were dead. For what it’s worth, when I travel, I carry $350 in emerg. cash - $100 in 20’s, $100 in 10’s, $100 in 5’s, and $50 in 1’s. Yes it does make for a wad, which I keep together with a simple binder clip. It’s roughly 3/4” thick folded in half. It will fit in a pocket comfortably, or if in an area were crime is a concern, the wad will fit in my sock (wearing long pants of course). Have a safe trip.

I’m a long time fan Cody, but some of the themes you covered in this video seem to fly in the face of things like the manly manners series. More distressing than that is the justifications I see from others for abandoning moral principles. From the discussions in the comments it seems as though we can be rude and nasty towards people if disagree with them or the institution they work for. It also seems we can discard our ethical and moral obligations if we find ourselves in a dangerous or distressing situation. I would argue a truly honorable man would extend kindness and understanding to all people and that in dire straits, when it is hard to stick to our convictions, is when you truly see what a man is made of. Just my two cents. Health and happiness to your family man.

Taped together batteries look suspicious to them in the scanner. If you carry them in something solid, they won't open your bag (at least not for that). When I was in college the TSA and I were seemingly in an arms race. I had a LOT of stuff that I wasn't comfortable leaving in an abandoned dorm room over breaks. Particularly electronics and my knife kit (my first degree was in culinary). Because the knives had to go in the check bag, I didn't have the weight for everything I would normally check, so I had to cram socks, t-shirts, hats and gloves into my carry on, all around my laptop, headphones, cables, books, snacks, etc. It would take about 5 mins for the TSA to rummage through my backpack and laptop case after the scanner and about 10 minutes for me to piece it all back together. So I was always looking for tricks on how to let them access what they think is suspicious (particularly batteries, cables and any hardcover books) without completely dumping my bags or to make items look less suspicious in the scanner. I settled on keeping batteries all of the cables in the outer pouch of my laptop case so I could just fold open. I would pack all of my books in one section of my backpack and put a single, soft item on top of them, though I still had one agent insist on checking every book for a cut out hidden compartment (my only explanation is that he must have had a bet without someone that he would eventually find one because he was checking everyone's books). I put batteries into a hard shell battery holder that (when angled at about 30 degrees near the side of the bag) looked like it could have been a chocolate bar. The best trick I learned was to intentionally make one item stand out and send it through in my laptop bag first. It would be easy to access but would take the 2nd persons attention long enough for my backpack to get through and be such a red herring that they wouldn't feel like checking on anything else the 1st person got curious about in the backpack so they would just ask me about what it was or pretend they saw it just by pushing a few things around.

Cody, It's cool that you have the plan to go to marinas. You've obviously thought things out well. I would say, however, the coast would seem to be the last place to go. I say this as a fellow Christian/believer. There have been lots of people having dreams and visions about either tsunamis hitting California when a big one hits, or even part of the coastline falling in to the sea. I'm sure you've heard many of them. Is your plan just "if" it's a more minor quake? Otherwise, I don't know how easy it would be to navigate a tsunami or falling coastline no matter what boat you "commandeer". Just commenting out of concern. You are a smart guy and very well prepared for many situations. My first choice is stay away from California, or pray there just won't be any quakes while you're down there. God bless.

Morons and half-wits? I been fortunate to work with some really intelligent people in my life. One common trait they share is they don't put down groups of people, or individuals, based on intellect. Doing so would be a sign that someone is very insecure about their own intellect, breadth of knowledge, capabilities, etc. I think one light TSA joke would have been fine, but the continued reference is off-putting.

@@savagepatchkidz2759 i think he shouldnt be insulting them at all, not before or after the flight. They have their strict rules, they have to follow, to keep the people safe, if someone kidnaps a plane or something of that kind they are liable, it is on the TSA and they will probably find out, who checked the guy(s) that kidnapped the plane or whatever and he will be punished, or if it is an undercover control and they are able so slip something by them they will lose their job.
