I just bought a Winchester Texas jack which is the smaller version of your the moose. I’d love to get the moose but they’re hard to find. I also received my large stockman from SMKW. No issues at all. I’m actually thinking about buying another one because it’s the first case knife I’ve bought without some kind of issue and from what I’ve seen online everyone else is happy with theirs.

The cognet is from the catalan part of France. Extremely similar to the etxurrat or the porquer from the Island of Mallorca.

I think they stuck with nickle silver bolsters and brass liners to differentiate between the all stainless Charlie SFOs and the GEC "good as Gold" versions

Are you into older end swell jack knives? I have one made by Brantford cutlery over 100 years old never sharpened. I'm trying to find out more about it. It jigged bone. Has the half stop strong pull an snap. I tried Google but it don't tell alot. Do you know the brand? Thanks

Really cool video. We got similar taste. Your 15 sheepft TC barlow in richlite seems to have really great action. I went through a couple and passed em on cause pull & snap was so light, but finally I found one with a good 6-6.5 pull & great snap and now I love it. Are you still carrying your Winchester square bolstered moose? I figured it'd be in your fave knives video. Best wishes to you and yours. Happy new year.

I haven't actually carried my Winchester moose all that much this year. It's still my favorite knife, but I have a lot of options.

"Store knife" usually sold slightly cheaper with minor imperfections. You don't get their warranty either.

I agree about case. Its sad, I ordered two razors from case and both of them had blade play one had significant blade play. I emailed case and its been 3 weeks and i havent heard from them yet. Will be the last one i order online and may be the last i buy unless they turn things around. At this point they are just running off there name.

Both razors I got were not great, one I sent back to have warrantied. So I do have one that's okay, but I've been hesitant to order another razor even though I like the pattern.
