It's not common for people in the US to live with their parents, so he honestly asked if it was a cultural thing (and outside the US, it often is.) However, often actresses in the states do live with their parents and it's often a subject of conversation in interviews. Dave wasn't being mean or snarky (though "snark" is part of his thing) he was just conversing. Dave is beloved by people (especially guests who "get it") for a reason.

Small but essential correction ;: Hindi is not national language of india it's one of the 22 scheduled languages as per constitution of india . Hindi and english are official languages to conduct day to day work .

In bengal , people talk in santhali , nepali , urdu language as well . English is official language as well as scheduled language . Hindi just any other 21 scheduled languages as per 8th schedule , nothing else !!!!
