Seriously, I removed the Akra GP for a Yoshimura Titanium on my Akra Headers! Perfection!

Exactly what I was looking for! Thought I was the only one that thought the akra GP was loud, a bit annoying and especially tinny, I’ve been on the hunt for a new system for a while now, I actually ordered a new full system last month but still hasn’t shipped yet, hoping I can cancel it and save some money just picking up this slip on, sounds exactly how I want my bike to sound, thanks!

I am a big fan of the Yoshi sound. However, it won't sound as good if you leave the Cat and just slip it on. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@AmenCornerRider agreed, I’ve seen the videos with the cat, luckily I already have a full titanium akra system on my bike now, just need the slip on to switch the sound & look for this riding season here in NYC, only happening if I can cancel my other full ti system I placed an order on a month ago 🤞

Did you hear all the noise in the cul-de-sac behind you on Tuesday evening? A very good Veteran friend to all had a birthday, and 25+ bikes, and 30 hot rods met at the High School, and rolled to Creekside for a surprise drive by and a loud happy one! Bonus, was a WWII Vet two doors down that we all saluted, and a kid on the access street "T" also having a birthday. I think we woke up the neighborhood for about 3 blocks around. But, everyone seemed to know what we were doing, and waved from their yards and doorways :) When I put on the Two Brothers, the joyful giggles just came gushing out when I first fired up Barbie. Went from "...fluff fluff fluff.." to pure Harley "..POTATO POTATO POTATO..". Not to mention the righteous loud growl as I twist it up while riding! So, yeah. This new can is really nice for your Beemer!

I agree, bike sounds/looks great. Why would anyone care how much you spend on your bike? It's your money, nobody has the right to tell you what to spend it on, yes? Nobody says anything to you about it, do they? I think about those people that take a $25,000 HD and then spend another $100,000 making it into some show bike they can't really ride. Who cares what people spend if it is their money. If anyone says anything about it, don't let it bother you. Y'all be safe.

Both of my parents have been gone a long time, but even after 25 years, I still want to call them once in awhile when some major thing, good or bad, happens. @@AmenCornerRider I see! Well, it definetely sounds good! How far have you ridden with that pipe? No headaches? Do you use earplugs? I have a buddy using that same pipe on his MT10, sound is perfect as well. It's not as loud as the GP cans.

@@bryanabiol1927 I've probably gone about 275 miles with the Yoshi. No headaches, no drone, no high pitch sound like the GP can. And yes, I ALWAYS wear earplugs. I've heard 15 min. of wind noise can cause permanent hearing loss. 😱

Definitely better but...still not exactly what you were looking for. Longing for that FZ07 sound but needing more performance. Imagine that little FZ being a little bigger with 25 more hp and 35 lb./ft more torque, better brakes, better suspension. Someone is going to find themselves back at the Triumph dealership looking at Speed Twins! $$$$$$$$$$🙃😁😎

Glad it worked out and sounds great!! I am purchasing a 19 S1000R that comes with the Akra exhaust. Didn’t you like the sound of the stock system? Love the look of the Moto GP but that decel popping would drive me nuts. I was thinking of keeping the cat and just hiding it with a carbon fiber belly pan. Thoughts?

I replaced the original Akra (giant) can with the GP can over a year ago. It was too big and quiet. I like the looks of the GP can, but, when you pair it with the Akra headers, which I recently installed , woof, it's loud, a kinda higher pitched loud. Thus, the Yoshi exhaust. Now I'm happy! 😉

How did thet rapidbike evo work out? Did you have to take it to a tuner or was auto tune good enough? How was low rpm fuelling + pull/torque kick?

Anupam Roy Because I switched the exhaust from the Akra to the Yoshi, I’m guessing it needs to retune a bit. It takes about 150 miles of riding to tune. Torque feels the same, first gear is not quite as smooth yet. But I am far from an expert. I’ve just been riding fo 4 years.

do you know if i were to get the s1000rr bracket with the foot rest if it would work? i have no issues cutting and expanding the pipe. I just take a passenger and want to make sure that the s1000rr bracket with foot rest would work. Thanks

Both great. The difference is the BMW is now a full system, the Triumph still has the cat. So the BMW is louder. But the Yoshi Alpha T on a Triumph is the way to go. And you don't have to tune it, just run the bike at idle and the ECU tunes itself. Highly recommend. 👌🏽

Alex, was there a reason why you didn't try putting the original Akra back on? Of course if you'd sold it, that would explain it :) There is a guy here in the UK who put headers on and kept the original Akra slipon on. I had to have the pipe expanded by a welder.
