@@sum321rediff Michigan . Semiautomatic copies of the Ak available for about $650, very common. They have to change the trigger mechanism and bolt carrier, and most times a new US made receiver is required because it must contain a certain number of US made parts under Federal Regulation, but the magazines are legal and unchanged. If you have a gun based on Romanian parts, often Romanian magazines fit and function better. There is no full auto position on the fire selector lever, just safe and semiautomatic.

It actually depends on the drum. the AK/SKS drums I have open up like this, but my AR drum is loaded like a stick mag.

This has been the clearest video on how to load one of these I've seen. Very well explained and demonstrated. I can actually see how it works. There is one thing you forgot to explain and one thing that's inconsistent with other tutorials though. You didn't explain how you put additional rounds in the neck that fits into the rifle. I've heard you can fit four in there by depressing a spring. Another tutorial also mentioned that the "key" will reach an end point when you add tension, so you shouldn't need to count turns. They had a later version of this magazine though, so it might be different.

i went down to my local shooting range to see how well my drum mag functioned after this video. it went very well. no jams or anything. i believe i got a total of 12 small targets and one large target. unfortunately the targets screamed so much i had to leave. great video. i plan to go back down to the range again some time and try it again.

Thanks Brother. I worked at a gun shop for years after class. I would spend hrs loading mags for the gun rang. I was sick for 3 days when I got back there was over 100 mags needing loading lol. No one would do it but me Lol. God Bless Brother.

We have feral camel problems in central Australia, an estimated 600,000 to a million are roaming the country side destroying precious ecosystems and out competing local flora and fauna for scarce water supplies in harsh desert climates. We cull them when and where we can with bolt action .308 's while the governments occasionally aerial cull with semi auto 30/06...a drum mag like this would be super effective in helping us keep these feral populations under control.

The follower is stuck at the 10 o clock position and will not move. It doesn’t move freely like yours does on the video even after i release the tension on the springs.
