For me, Kyle MacLachlan pulls off one of the best performances in the history of TV and even cinema. The way he plays both Coopers, completely different characters. Amazing.

I mean, he practically plays four characters: Cooper, Bad Cooper, Dougie Cooper and the guy of the last episode, who seems to be Cooper but acts in a totally different way.

I just realized the reason why Dougie/Cooper talks only in phrases and act Childish is because he was reborn remember in the last part in S2 when Dale was in the Black Lodge and he was stabbed by Windom he basically died in the Black Lodge where he got stuck in there for 25 years but hey that’s just my theory.

I remember cracking up at Dougie Cooper's acts, and then feeling like a dick about it. I mean, the character is clearly dysfunctional (even though he did not really suffer that much through it, mainly thanks to MIKE), but the absurd situations he got himself into could not really evoke more than laughter from me at first. Have you guys been feeling the same about it?

DOUGIE JONES DAMN GOOD
@nomecognome8737Ай бұрын
it's definitely remarkable how Kyle played different characters in the show (killed it as Mr.C) but even if you forget about that, what he does as Dougie Jones stands on its own as one of the greatest perfomances ever. He does absolutely nothing, says 5 words per episode and makes you laugh, sad, kind of frustrated. It's like watching a sweet old man who's mental state is deteriorating, but the truth of what's really going on is even more emotional. That episode that began with him staring at the statue and the guard telling him to go home damn near made me cry 😅 and the amount of hilarious scenes with Dougie are such basic but effective comedy. SOLID GOLD

You've completely missed that. Cooper's soul was never trapped in Dougie. Dougie and Cooper switched places. You clearly see the actual Dougie Jones die in The Lodge. The Dougie at the end is a Tulpa, not a doppelganger. So, technically, the last appearance is 'home'.
