i had this mpc when it came out, didnt like the limited screen with all the menu-digging so i sold it eventually. i purposely watched this whole video (while cleaning my apartment), just to remind myself how good we got it now with our current mpc's lol.

thanks for this man. at a crossroads and debating on either buying the mpc500,sp404A(those 2 for classic type beat making),and the polyend tracker(because I primarily use renoise for production,which is a Daw adjacent tracker).

So does the MPC record audio as well when hooked up to Midi on the triton? Or is it just triggering the notes in the triton?

How do I assign a single sound saved on the card to a pad?

You have to load in the sample then go to the program and assign to a pad.

I no longer have my MPC 1000 but I have a CD or two with all my old PGMs. Is there a way I can still use those? I switched to akai mpk249.

If it's not an mpc it will be hard you'll need to dump the midi files and the sample will need to be dumped to a program.

I don't know the PC world has changed with all the updates and MPC never really update the 500.

I Have This MPC, But I Do`nt Know How To use It, I Guess I need To take It Out, Dust It Off And Work It ! Learn It ! I Bought It From A Girl Who Bought It Brand New Years Ago And She Did Not Even Use It, Im Not using It To, Damn. :(
