Hello! Have you tried sending midi control messages from Ableton to the parameters of the Akai 3000 XL? In the manual there is a list of the midi parameters that can be controlled, if possible it would be very interesting ... it seems to me that from the atari cubase if possible ... would it be possible for you to do one of these for the CD3000 as well? i havent been able to find a single video on one of them. although im assuming its a similar process as this one, excluding the actual sampling process.

Also this works on s900/950 . After you save this program. You xan delete all the " dummy sound" and it will still remember the the program assignment. If you don't delete. St least on s900/950 it will limit your new sample to the same short length. Peace

I just have the keygroups but no sample on 950

What happens when you connect it to the mpc? Do you get more sampling time when both are used together?

yep, you got more time for memory just the memory will be on a seperate machine. but if you relly work it you dont need that much memory

The mpc also helps you write the song with midi. The racks usually do not have midi and need a sequencer or controller to trigger the samples

@ most people think of the mpc as being a sampler, but its also really good at sending notes to other gear like synths, because of how you can write patterns on it. in fact, with the really old MPC's that dont have much memory at all, they be used ONLY to send out notes to a module with all the sounds in it. this would be great if you want to run them through aa mixer, as all most modules have 8 outputs. Some MPCs have only 2 outputs, but they all have a fantastic sequencer. if you only had the module youd need to connect something that sends notes into it.
