I bought some AKKON tail lights, the ones with the circles instead of the lines. For the side blinker, you said you shoved in the new wires into the old socket, how hard did you have to press it in there? I tried to shove it in and I didn't wanna break it since it seems like it didn't fit.

I had to press pretty hard to get it in. I kinda rocked it side to side when I was pushing it in. The plug started to try and bend a little when I was pressing the passenger side in but I finally got em in. I know they aren't popping out at all lol

After 11 months have you experienced any corrosion because of those gaps? I just installed mine just now and i have a gnarly gap on the right side, and I'm scared of fucking something up

No sir and honestly I don't expect anything to be since everything is grometed and sealed pretty well.

How did you end up closing that gap? I can’t seem to get mine resolved. -2014 Impala LTZ Limited

I didn't have too much more luck after I had tightened all the bolts. There were a couple of small tabs on the back of one of the taillights that I broke off with a set of pliers to see if it would bring it closer but it wasn't a noticeable change so I didn't show that part in the video. I think the manufacturer should put a seal like the factory ones have.

Yea I agree, seems like a fairly common problem which is a bummer because these things look good as hell. I ground down those tabs which didn’t help much then I filled the gap with weatherstrip adhesive. Best I could figure out. Thanks for the reply!

That weatherstripping idea was my next go-to I'm glad it worked out!

Yes sir to me they do, since they both have the black background it matches up better than the red taillights that I previously had.
