One of the many greats... Al Lindner, Tony Dean, Bob Propst, Mike McClelland, Babe Winkelman, Gary Roach, and more. Too many to list. In 1991, I fished with Tony Dean and John Gilkerson out of Sunset Lodge, north of Pierre, S.D., over the 4th of July holiday. Fished with those two guys... had steaks with them. Tony was there filming for his television show. That was quite the week! Absolutely fantastic people!

Amazing the Jiggin Rap phenomenon has taken the last few years in the Walleye market. Now it's taking over in the Bass Fishing industry. Example, Jacob Wheeler's win at Cherokee Lake on the first leg of the 2017 BassMasters Elite Series. Apparently this was Jacobs main lure used along with the Storm 360 series of swim bait's. I seen along with the Jiggin Rap's re-occurrence, that a close second is the use of lip-less lure's for all species of fish especially on hard water.

You said it Al Lindner I have been a fan since I was a kid. I haven't got to try the jigging rap yet but it's probably the closest thing to a live bait you can get and I can't wait to try one. The Tube in a Pumpkin seed is also my go to bait or the twister tail you just can not beat those combinations! I want to Thank you Al Lindner for your advice to catching more fish because I know it works and the whole family loves watching your show on television.

Al is a legend. Ive been watching Al since I was 6 and im 40 now. I actually moved to the Brainerd area of Minnesota because of Al and all his videos of fishing here. If there was one pro I could fish with ever it would be Al. Now my rant lol I've been fishing with a jigging rap for the last 5 years now in the Brainerd area on local lakes and have yet to catch a fish on one, I don't know what im doing wrong but I must be doing something wrong lol.

Al Linder is not my favorite because of being able to catch fish, but because of his love of CHRIST, & becoming a true fishers of men. Thank you Al we will talk more when we finally get home with our LORD.

Ive never cought a fish a a raplal jigging rap in open water ever! Only through the ice. And ive tried it alot lol
@AnglingBuzz Жыл бұрын
Where are you fishing them (type of lake, state)?
@jnorth5689 Жыл бұрын
@@AnglingBuzz I live in north east Michigan. I've tried them in the river and lake. We do really good on bass assassins and fin n minnow baits on jig heads. Snap jigging them. Slow rolling paddle tails like rage swimmers but I just never had luck on a rap. I want it to work here it's just I don't know how to do it or it's not productive here. Every one throws soft plastics. I'm not saying it don't work because plenty of people around the country do great with them. I just don't have luck with them in my area open water. Ice fishing we kill on them.
@jnorth5689 Жыл бұрын
@@AnglingBuzz maybe one day I'll just take a rod rigged with one and only use that for the whole day. I tend to go back to what I know works pretty quick if I ain't getting bit. That could be the problem, me not giving it it's fair go and changing it out to fast
@jimbrandt2532 Жыл бұрын
When fishing the jigging rap, you put a swivel up the line about a foot. Why don’t you just use a snap swivel on the lure itself?
@AnglingBuzz Жыл бұрын
A snap swivel could fold over and snag the bottom treble hook and also interfere with the action on the snap up not being directly tied to it.
@truthseeker5890 Жыл бұрын
Always tie the lure direct... tie, tie, tie! Swivel goes above... an inline swivel, tied in... tie, tie, tie! NOT a snap swivel; a snap swivel translates into messes.
