I was fully expecting Auburn to use Vandy’s playbook like OU did. They have an athletic QB and a good RB. But the offense they put out is what Alabama is best at defending

It’s less about what they did and what bama didn’t do in those games that was different Saturday. Yeah that sounds like some ignorant bama talk that I’m sure you’ve heard before, but those games specifically were masterclasses on how to lose a game defensively Minus Vandy, the offense may not have shown up, but both those games were partly lost because of DC Womacks stubborn philosophy. Everything revolves around sending 4 a relying on them to hold it down so more can stay in coverage. He never sends blitz’s or stacks the box. Against a Vandy team that was living off RPO quick throws and runs? Why would that never be dialed up? Even more egregiously why would they not do that against a team that could not throw at all and had 6 WRs out? All bama had to do that game was dare OU to pass. Might not have changed the offensive issues but it would have kept them in. That game could have been night and day different and if those adjustments were made against Vandy there’s probably 1 or 2 more stops that makes the difference in that game.

@@zachharrelson9971 Overly criical of BAMA's D when in fact the D held its own against Vandy and wasn't as bad as it seemed against OU. The D allowed 1 TD in each half against Vandy, the rest of the scores were due to the O and special teams play. It was still a close game early in the 4th against OU, but Milroe's limited ability as a RB playing QB kept putting them on the field in difficult situations, too often, and wore them out. BAMA's D is solid! BAMA's issues are on the O.

Bama stopped them most of the game until 3rd down where they just didn't get it done. Some was playcalling, a lot was execution.

Finally! The coaching staff finally implemented a well balanced offensive game plan employing an intermediate passes to our receivers just past linebackers and DOWN THE FIELD vs bubble screens which opened up our run game. Finally a good game plan but you got to teach our kids to hold onto the ball. Lord have mercy. Well balanced production with over 200 yards rushing and PASSING! Where are the MILROE HATERS NOW…..? It’s not Jalen Milroe it’s the offensive game plan and preparation. Shame on the coaches for not figuring this out until last game of the season. Got to do better coaching staff. Thankful for the IRON BOWL VICTORY!

It’s strictly a question of does Bama’s offense execute or self destruct. The Bama defense is solid points per game. Best ppg D since 2017. It’s kinda bend but don’t break but points are what matters and they don’t give up much.

That’s nice but it’s also one the worst rush defenses recently. Logically, that makes sense in a base 3-3-5 and constant injuries with linebackers, ala Q Robinson, Lawson, and Campbell in and out. However, that’s how you lose to the Vandys and Okies. They can just RPO and veer option misdirection you to death without having to throw the ball for real if at all.

@@dariuswilliams3206 Vanderbilt was the only game that the D lost it for us. Oklahoma they gave up chunk plays in the first half but only 10 points. Second half they only gave up a TD after the interception was returned to like the 20. It was the offense that killed us against Oklahoma.

He’s the #1 recruiter in the country as of RIGHT NOW. We quit the triple play calling and hire an elite OC and a 1 year veteran QB (mateer) from Washington state, or perhaps arch or Ewers will hit the portal because there’s only going to be one starter at Texas and we all know who that’s gonna be, who can come in and give deuce knight the knowledge he needs, we WILL win left and right. Defensively we are sound as sound can get right now. There’s no other team playing as many defensive freshman as we are and causing the amount of havoc with said freshman. We need to work on getting off the field on 3rd down.

It’s really entertaining when Bama haters cast aspersions on Milroe by saying that he’s not a “legit” quarterback while he was #3 and #7 in each of the last 2 seasons in the QB power rankings. The game was sad! Seeing both teams in this shape is unbelievable. Can Auburn really afford to get rid of Hugh Freeze next year! The recruiting has suffered greatly by firing Bryan Harsin and getting yet another coach. Are they going to just keep firing coaches until they find one that can make lemonade out of lemons? As for Alabama, I believe they will be ok with Kalen once Milroe is gone. That’s my opinion! I don’t care how many rushing yards he gets! Love or hate Hugh Freeze all you want, the guy can coach. Every game is rather close, when he was at Ole Miss he gave us problems. When the turnovers stopped, they actually got to shine; I think his checkered history and games not going his way, then him blaming everybody has been rough. If they get a decent QB that can cut the INT rate in half, and Hugh defends his guys, they’ll go 8-4/9-3 and probably win a bowl. I was nervous about his hiring, he can win it just hasn’t happened

I don't understand why anyone thinks Auburn is supposed to be a good program. I'm 54 years old and they've been terrible for my entire life. Auburn lives in a different world than the rest of us. Somehow, I must admit, it has served them. They don't rely on recruiting or coaching or even solid play. Auburn relies on miracles. The Kick-6, the tip pass the same year vs. Georgia, Punt-Bama-Punt, etc, etc. Those should have all been losses. There are others. Auburn is so proud of their lucky breaks. And why not? They have nothing else to celebrate. I just don't understand why anyone would consider Auburn any different than say, Kansas State. Stop legitimatizing them by acting confused when they lose. They're supposed to lose, and they always will.

You've been around for 54 years. Ever heard of guy named Pat Dye? He had some good teams in the 80's and had a team that should have won at least a share of a national championship. Auburn was 13-0 in 2004 and was denied a shot at a national championship. Won one in 2010 and played for one in 2013. Over 800 wins in program history. You've been living under a rock because this program does having a winning history.

When Auburn has a skilled quarterback next season or the season after, you will change your tune. I'm not a Freeze fan, but understand one of the many issues plaguing Auburn football. The quarterback position primarily and talent and depth at every other position. Our rivals built a tremendous talent gap with the roster. You can't make mistake after mistake and beat teams like Alabama, period! Auburn made mistakes and couldn't capitalize off of Bama mistakes and Alabama had a good defensive plan to contain Jarquez Hunter. It's hard to be one-dimensional and win football games.

Alabama is it's own worse enemy and the three games they lost proves it. They had a lot of penalties, lot of turnovers, poor play from several players and it seems there is no team spirit as they used to be before the transfer portal and the NIL, which the NCAA has not done any damn thing to stop this crap, I don't believe in paying college players to play.
