The fact that NINE of OU’s top WR’s and other starters have been hurt pretty much all season and still managed to handle Bama the way they did shows that OU isn’t an “inferior” team. I think OU was a trap. Their dense, to be tops in the country, only needed an offense that wouldn’t require them to be on the field most of a game. That took time. Time to build an O line. Time to find a running back. Time for Jackson Arnold to mature some. Well, it was bound to gel at some point. It gelled last night. The OU defense is the best in the country. The most improved offense may be OU, and they had a long way to go. No, they aren’t going to put up 40 points a gave, but they don’t have to. They just have to play complimentary football- to give their defense a breather. This was a trap for Alabama. What the OU did to Alabama wasn’t a fluke. OU finally grew a line and running game.
@Keith-h5yАй бұрын
You talk like ou has no players. Actually we are dominant in defending the run . And Alabama game is running. It just shows that Oklahoma is t as far off as what they have appeared to be up until this game. JA has struggled so bad not with just turnovers but turnovers at the most crucial points of the game, an offensive line that has given up a school record in sacks and their first 5 WR’s being out, makes it tough for anyone to win. Now the young OLmen who have not just been playing but playing together get more experience under their belt the better they are getting each week. What Seth Littrell was doing as an OC was a sokoto criminal and with the change at the OC position, we have looked better each week we have played but again the TO’s and when they took place has skewed the fact that Oklahoma is a talented team they have just really struggled on the offensive side of the ball and outside of TO’s there are legitimate reasons for that. That said, you are what your record says you are and Oklahoma is 6-5. If we can go 8th Baton Rouge next week and play anywhere close to how we did last night we will walk out of there with another convincing win and go to a weaker bowl game, p,aging a much weaker team and could finish above pre-season predictions of 7 wins. Now that is an end of the year turnaround we need big time. Oklahoma is not Vanderbilt and unfortunately from a record standpoint we were right there with them until yesterday. That said at least you know that Oklahoma has a great defense when the offense struggles so much but when the offense gives them breaks and gives them a time of possession advantages, Oklahoma has an elite defense.

Beating AL the way we did was definitely surprising but OU being able to be competitive shouldn't have been surprising to anyone who's watched OU this year. It has been a PAINFUL year. Absurd turnovers by the offense, constantly awful play calling. Defense never getting a rest but still playing well? It was obvious that if OU could put together even an OK offense, something like a 20-30th ranked offense the D would keep them in the game. If the offense actually played good...not great...not very good, but good, then they'd be winning games. Last night the offense played somewhere between good and very good. The D did D things under BV and looked fantastic. Firing the OC had immediate positive results. Will we beat LSU? I dunno, but we'll get healthy, find an OC and be ok I think. Also I don't follow football talking heads a lot, but isn't the host of this vid the same guy that's been shitting on OU all year? Voice sounds very familiar on some podcasts and stuff some friends have sent.

Been an Oklahoma fan my whole life, I am 26 yrs old. This is the worst Oklahoma team I have ever seen. Blame it on injuries, coaches, play calling or whatever you want but….i will not buy into the idea that we struggled this year due to difficulty of schedule. Did it help? No! But I have seen this sooner team shoot themselves in the foot in every imaginable way. This is not and will never be the standard at oklahoma, (and ya everybody says that about their team but we have the championships and trophy room to actually mean it) so go ahead think what you want. Say what you want. Y’all ain’t ready for the Sooners at 100% 😂 boomer!

DUDE!!! The Sooners have a lot of talent that wasn't coached right most of the year. The Sooners are showing their talent now. Sooners are better than Rolltide.

Bruh, Georgia played Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Clemson…that’s the toughest strength of schedule…it’s cool for them to add UMass on the schedule.

Jalen Milroe lacks what it takes between the ears to be a quarterback, and as far as Kaylan Debore, he can take his ass back to Washington. I would love the same Lane Kiffin get the job and tie Simpson as a starting quarterback.

XR should have been RB1 from day 1! I want Robinson starting job for the rest of the yr

"Inconsistency!" There is one measurement in sports, in college football, that has nothing to do with conference brand name affiliation. It has everything to do with the team itself, not the opponent. It is 1 of THE 2 marks of a good team; CONSISTENCY. The other mark being beating good teams. This is why Bama & Hoosiers should not be in the playoffs. Bama is inconsistent. Their own fault, weakness. Hoosiers have NOT beatin any good teams. If you truly want good, consistent college football teams playing in the playoffs displaying competitive close play that's not a blowout, you'll exclude Bama and Hoosiers. If you're doing the playoffs just for business, for money, then do what you want. But your brand of "college football" will suffer and wane, costing you money. No 3-loss team should be in the playoffs, PERIOD! No matter what their name is. Indiana is not deserving because they've not played and beat good teams. A loss is a loss. Stop the nonsense! Don't repeat the TCU error! Ratings and money will plummet!

OU has a top #10 roster?! BV running the defense. SR night in Norman after a frustrating year. New OC that may be coming around. Alabama didn't just lay an egg, OU played really damn hard.
@dylaneakins5238Ай бұрын
OU look like the most SEC team in the SEC. An identity I can agree with pure basics and execution. Run the ball then run the ball again and again and again. The defense was a turnover machine. That’s SEC football! I loved it! Just play the basics and dominate at it!!!
@donpage4248Ай бұрын
All OU did was retread Vandy’s game plan against Alabama and got their players to execute it. Again Bama coaches could not make adjustments necessary. Why Nick Sheridan completely abandoned the run on first and second down this entire game just like at Tennessee. He needs to use the RB more on first and second down. Bama had success against SC, Mizzou and LSU doing that. SMH.

I know the Georgia fans is happy but pissed off at the same time

The reality is that Ryan Williams will win a Heisman and he ate during this game. So you cannot say that the passing game wasn't there. I mean Ryan Williams did dirty. I mean he had two touchdowns. It's just Milroe couldn't get it done.
@WAVm2011Ай бұрын
In a streetball game Alabama would have won this game. But with the rules and the out of bounds situations they lost. And yes they got eaten up in the run game D that was not okay.

Which of Milroe's INTs were not on him!?
@timothyfitzgerald3168Ай бұрын
You can argue that his receiver, who was supposed to get in Eli Bowen's way, totally whiffed. He threw it where three of his receivers were and they all managed to mess it up. On the 3rd Int: he was hit as he threw. So you can defend 1 and 3, but number 2 was the Pick6, and it was for sure on him not being able to read the Defense.

This is more about what Ou can do when they have a mediocre and not terrible offense!

I called it day one bama will miss playoffs year one under debore. All the main stream media thought it was blasphemous for bama to have a drop off from saban, but here we are. You hear it here first , bama loses iron bowl book it
