I heard the same thing from Miami fans back in 1988 when they played ND when Holtz had ND back in the top ten for the first time in years. Miami was the most dominate team in the 1980's and no one thought they were ready to beat a team like Miami. Final score ND 31-30.

I have been trying to make that point about a 4 team playoff ever since fans have been rejoicing over it. So many fail to realize that a good portion of Super Bowl games are not even close. It is only until the last decade that we have seen consistently good Super Bowl's, and the playoff system has not changed. My biggest argument is they are still using rankings to determine those four teams! They need to move to a traditional NFL style playoff.

ill admit bama played a real good game. u can c the inexperiance in notre dame to the experiance of bama. notre dame was #1 in recruitin last year with 5 loses and now we only have one the recruits are pouring in. all coach kelly said was this was an eye opener he sat down and took notes and now that he has been here he knos how to prepare more. Good game bama but its not over the irish will get better thats all they can do at this point. im looking forward to this beeing a non confrence rivalry

Game comes down to this, No team has ran on ND and Bama hasnt been stopped on the run. ND only has given up two rushing tds all year. Manti Te'o has been a beast all year and this game we will find out how good he really is. If he balls out I would say he should have won the Heisman. Still think Manziel won it just because he beat Bama. Anyways game will come down if ND's D can stop Bama's run. McCarron hasnt seen a front 4 like this all year so game will be interesting

Sure they will. AJ coming back, TJ Yeldon, a healthy Jalston Fowler, Amari Cooper, Kenny Bell, Christion Jones, and luckily a coach smart enough to rotate his non-starters in as often as possible so they all have game experience. Bama will be back in the title game in just under a year.

Notre Dame should be able to win. They've been a road worrior team this year, traveling north, south, east and west and still are undefeated. I like teams that play different confences and come away unbeaten. And thier cheerleaders are hotter than Bama's too, so that is the deciding factor.

Actually Alabama had a penalty of holding in the first half. But that's the beauty of football. I'm for ND because of Manti Teo and him being from Hawaii and where I live and just my team preference. Look for Alabama to win its third in a row in 2013, and fourth title in 5 years. The Tide is returning QB AJ McCarron who threw 30 TDs and only 3 INTs this year. RB TJ Yeldon returns. The best receivers in the history of Alabama return--Cooper, Bell, and Norwood and several others. Moseley, the best LB in America, returns. Alabama will sign another top 5 recruiting class--likely #1 class again--and will simply reload just like this year when 4 to went the NFL in the first round. Roll Tide.

Too many ND fans don't want to admit that they team has bad games against terrible opponents while Alabama is battle tested against ranked opponent this year even with the lost against TAM, UA still played great. Alabama just has the advantage in experience in the BCS as for ND doesn't.

The bad thing about Bama is that pretty much their entire Defense are "ROOKIE'S" and they still are in the top 10 in pretty much all defensive catagories. Bama ROLL'S! in this game. The defensives are equal in what they have shown on the field all year. ND is ranked high in defensive catagories also, but how many of them will be there next year? Bama wins and will be just as good next year! closer than expected, Bama Rolls! Not a lot of Offense with the top 2 Defensives in the country at it.

Check his Wikipedia page under "Leave of Absence". He knew once Tebow was gone, so was ANY chance he had of competing at the same level in the SEC, and he would be fired within 2 seasons. He was LITERALLY hospitalized over it. So he quit, and he went to a conference where 1) the teams are shit and 2) the pressure to win National Titles isn't as high. Facts is facts, man. He couldn't cut it, so he bitched out.

Being an Alabama fan, I think our 1-2 punch at running back and our O-Line will be too much for ND's defense LATE in the game. If Notre Dame wants to win they have to win by passing the ball because our secondary is weak and young. And they have to do it early. Bama is a team that once we get rolling we will end it really fast. But it will be an AWESOME GAME!!! But Alabama is 1-5 against ND all time.
