I love these types of repeat interviews with people who have a long history with the brand, really shows the deep friendship these two have and is a perfect representation of how the company treats its customers.

When Philippe Dufour was asked what he thought would be the best *serially produced* wristwatch available, he said "I'll show you." He then went to his safe and pulled out a Lange Datograph.

always great to see Ben and Wilhelm get together for a discussion. now if Lange will just come out with a Saxonia moonphase with a blue dial in rose gold! :)

The honey gold datograph lumen is just beautiful and a hopeful addition someday. Watches are one of those ways that man has created amazing art, alongside cathedrals & orchestral marvels, etc. This watch is another example of why I’m only for lange in higher horology, I’ll never sell my 1815

Love the Datograph except for its size. Amazing mechanical movement.

Ben's unctuous, affected gesticulations combine with his self-soothing "fun" clothes to produce a deeply inauthentic, unsettling personality. This ersatz discussion is simply a thinly-veiled employ of the marketing pull he commands over the Hodinkee flock.

Sounds like you are a big fan of Ben Cylmer and Hodinkee. 😂

Wilhelm seems pretentious.

I dunno, seems fine to me. Nothing about him seems pretentious, he is after all the boss of a luxury watch product. How many CEO's from other luxury manufacturers do you see giving interviews?
