my favorite moments on fool us are when penn suggests the solution to the trick, often times fairly confidently, only to have the magician tell him that no, that's not it at all. Penn and teller both immediately get so excited when they hear their hunch was wrong, it's honestly really cool to see how passionate they are

Bear in mind producers can tell them if they are correct or not. I believe producers wouldn't let them tell the method right away if they were correct, so in this case I believe Penn knew very well he was guessing wrong

Yes, Penn is a showman through and through. When he doesn’t have code for a correct guess that he likes, he just has Teller draw a diagram in his notebook and shows it to the magician discreetly.

I've seen comments saying that they take much kore time than we see here and the producers/judges can gear everything they say and even say something back like "if you think thats it, you can just say it".

The move was so appropriate and natural, you really couldn't see it unless you know it's happening, and even then, the card just shows up, like it still looks like magic, which is very very cool.

"I'm gonna find that card again without slight of hand..." It is a magicians job to lie to us. Though to be fair, once he was wrapped up his arms and fingers didn't have to bend. And after watching the whole routine like 5 times including using .25x speed (slow mo didn't help) I think I figured it out... Brilliant trick, cling wrap and the card launcher being the only items not common to every magician. (Everyone already has cards, clothing, and a pen)

I'm happy the producers are careful enough to edit in such a respectful way for the magic to stay alive. From the first moment, I thought you had the card palmed in your left hand and during the wrapping was able to put it up there. I was kinda surprised that Penn went for the right hand, and then even after you said it wasn't that and he switched to left he still didn't have it right. So apart from a great routine, it was also very successful at misdirecting people who think they might have an idea.

Just watched it again at quarter speed and the only fishy thing I spotted is at 4:54, where there's chest-level movement beneath the clingfilm. Dummy right hand with moving fingers perhaps? No, because Alan H said that's not how he did it. So I'm still puzzled.

His arms didnt move to put the 6 of diamonds between the cellophane, but something surely did--phalanges, thumbs, toes, or something else moved to "transport" the 6 of diamonds. Great trick.
