@@erikkoski6129 I had this conversation yesterday. Things have changed so much that CHR radio is not playing her new music. Rock is nearly non existent on mainstream radio. Ironically, to get radio airplay, she would have to return to dance pop. I haven't heard any new Alanis songs outside of the Adult Contemporary radio format for a long time.

@@suavehinrg all of my favorites are like that too Avril Lavigne one of my favorites doesn't get played either the whole fact is if you're not singing about drugs or have the same words repeat you won't get played but I'm my opinion I like it better when it's not played on the radio because then it's not incredibly popular and it's much more artistic

This was a great video and a great song! I was a bit shocked to see her Jagged Little Pill album come out when it did because I was like "She's all rock now?" I think for those of us who didn't know of this side of Alanis back then won't really appreciate how her style has changed with the times...it's great to reminisce! Wow, I was ooking for these old vids from the late 80's. I had heard that she was like a pop queen. A little bit of Taylor Dayne, Tiffany and Debbie Gibson all rolled in to one! However, she shead her pop icon immage, I guess the true singer-songwriter would eventually emerge. In any case Alanis performed these songs with class and style to! Great post, thanks!

I was a huge fan of Alanis and missed her when she was gone for like 3 years. Then this Alanis Morisette came out and I was like, what happened to Alanis? A friend said that Alanis Morisette was Alanis. I was like no, Alanis Morisette is too depressing... she's not Alanis. Alanis was upbeat and happy. I liked Alanis. Alanis Morisette is depressing and jaded... rightfully so, but I have enough depression in my life... I need to listen to happy music, not depressing music! Great vocals either way!

MegaJess83 You Outta Know was in 1995, and she only met Ryan in 2002. Dave Coulier (of Full House) has stated that it was about him. And in a How I Met Your Mother episode about Robin Sparkles, she writes a song that’s angry like You Outta Know, and Coulier is in the episode joking about “why does everyone always assume it’s me?” But I like the idea of it being Matt a lot better.
