@@erikkoski6129 I had this conversation yesterday. Things have changed so much that CHR radio is not playing her new music. Rock is nearly non existent on mainstream radio. Ironically, to get radio airplay, she would have to return to dance pop. I haven't heard any new Alanis songs outside of the Adult Contemporary radio format for a long time.

Wow, I was ooking for these old vids from the late 80's. I had heard that she was like a pop queen. A little bit of Taylor Dayne, Tiffany and Debbie Gibson all rolled in to one! However, she shead her pop icon immage, I guess the true singer-songwriter would eventually emerge. In any case Alanis performed these songs with class and style to! Great post, thanks!

I was a huge fan of Alanis and missed her when she was gone for like 3 years. Then this Alanis Morisette came out and I was like, what happened to Alanis? A friend said that Alanis Morisette was Alanis. I was like no, Alanis Morisette is too depressing... she's not Alanis. Alanis was upbeat and happy. I liked Alanis. Alanis Morisette is depressing and jaded... rightfully so, but I have enough depression in my life... I need to listen to happy music, not depressing music! Great vocals either way!

MegaJess83 You Outta Know was in 1995, and she only met Ryan in 2002. Dave Coulier (of Full House) has stated that it was about him. And in a How I Met Your Mother episode about Robin Sparkles, she writes a song that’s angry like You Outta Know, and Coulier is in the episode joking about “why does everyone always assume it’s me?” But I like the idea of it being Matt a lot better.
