Hi Mate. Not sure if you are still on here. I have an old Gardtec alarm. Was fitted when we bought the place. It's been pretty solid but for 14 or so years since we have lived here. Replaced the panel batteries a couple of times but apart from that no issues. However, in the last month or so I keep getting a Bell Box Tamper alert. Alarm just randomly switches on even when it's been disarmed and we are home. Goes off at all hours. Really annoying. Does that mean the bell box needs replacing? Its fairly old. Could it be the battery in the bell box? I haven't got a clue when it comes to alarms. Not great with ladders either but will climb up if I need to. If it was the battery I would have thought it would state a battery error. Anyways. Not sure if you are still here but any help would be great. Cheers.

@@stephenblack9843 I replaced the bell box battery. Thought it fixed it but then 2 days latter started triggering again. Ended up finding someone who removed and refitted a new box for me. Ever since (touch wood) it hasn't gone off randomly and has been. Fine. If that didn't fix it I would have replaced the whole thing as it's pretty old now.

Hi my inlaw fitted a new honeywell accenta g4 5 years ago an there woken up at 6 am my the alarm sounding no one had tried breaking in as they don't use the alarm while they sleep. Whey put code in the siren stopped but later that day went to put the code in to arm it as were to the shops an the keypad says temper fault lockout he has the engineer code but will a factory reset resolve the issue with the saying temper fault lockout as he can not use the but can still do a walk test that shows al zones working

Hi I’ve got a euro mini where I ended up opening up one of the door sensors, I also opened up the alarm box and put a new battery in , and I did take the fuse out and put it back in , it was all working fine before this and now can’t seem to reset it and the keyboard doesn’t take my alarm code , so not sure what’s happened , any ideas how I can just get it back to how it was thanks

Hi pal any chance you can advise me, i have veritas R8 and i have two keyboard panel, one is downstairs and one is upstairs, the downstairs one doesnt seem to have any back light and unreponsive please advise.

You need to put a multimeter on the +&- terminals to see if you get around 12v if you do it’s a dodgy keypad or you don’t you have a damaged cable between the keypad and the panel!

Hi, Thank you very much for the explanation which is really helpful. I have Veritas Alarm and Temper and Unset lights are on. When I press reset alarm bell start ringing. Could you please confirm what is the code to reset the temper. In your Video you was do like 12343 and then some other button. could you please reply.

Default code is 1234 but if it was professionally installed they more than likely changed it!

That’s not a texecom veritas in the videos. If your normal codes working that and reset should clear it. If not you have a tamper fault and no code will help you

The code she put in to set an unset is let's say 1721 but the engineer code is 9999
