I'm about 95% sure I was up Summit Creek looking for bears the same time as you--definitely saw my truck in the parking lot shots!

That’s funny! Thanks for the guest appearance and thanks for watching!

You can't blame the bears for keeping out the rain. We are going through a wet phase here in the UK, i hope it's not a sign of an early winter. Hope the girls have better luck. Take care and see you next time.

Thank you! The weather worked against us a bit on this one. It was nice and sunny for the hike up, then the clouds rolled in. Would have been nicer the other way around!

OMG that burger looked so good. Well earned after that hike up that steep mountainside. How much did Kate’s backpack weigh? It looked heavy. Me and my husband enjoyed this video a lot. I hope Kate had a good trip with the other girls. Until your next adventure, take care.

Good question! Not sure how much it weighed, probably 25-30lbs. The gun, ammo and water counted for all the weight. The food was well earned and very tasty.

Keep your gear minimalistic, simple and lightweight. That'll give you more juice for scouting and learning about the game you hunt.

Yep! Good advice. We’re patiently learning the ways.

I know that first trail you were on. Been up there a couple of times myself. You guys should of kept going up and over the saddle. It opens up into a lot of country w/ a lot of options, and there are definitely bears back in there. You should take a tent or two and spend a couple of days. Ya got to give it some time. Wouldn't hurt to bring a small caliber for ptarmigan either, there are tons of them up there. At least there used to be. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! We’ll aim to go further in next time. Cheers!

Where did you get that cozy(ORANGE) AKGL ?
@semi-wild-alaskaАй бұрын
I think it was a limited run for the Alaska Gear Lab Heat Pouch. Looks like they still have the 3-pack in a cool green color!

You should wear bells to let the bears know that you are there. Please be safe.

Like a dinner bell?

Any idea what was mined on the other hillside, with those switchbacks?

Primary Copper and Lead, but there was a mix of things, including some gold.
