The poetry of wonder: "Look at this! This is crazy, Ay it's so beautiful! Wow, I feel really lucky. We're in Alaska"

Another amazing episode of the Bumble Club. That river crossing in the rafts gave me a tummy ache to watch.

I think this channel deserves so much more attention. I watch your videos everyday and I aspire to be like you. This is exactly what I’m looking for in videos like these. It inspires me to keep working towards my goal which is to be a journalist and a photographer, and I guess I would just like to say thank you John for these special videos.

I think everyone that has been to Alaska has stopped and awed ALASKA. It holds that kind of magic.

Hi John! I've been watching your videos for some time now and have been interested in hiking since I was little. I dayhike regularly, have gone to a nature camp for the past four years, and have done multiple long weekend backpacking trips and plan on doing a 7-10 day yo-yo hike of the Monadnock Sunapee Greenway Trail this spring. I'm telling you all this because I'm planning on hiking the PCT this summer. Would you suggest thru-hiking the PCT to someone like me, or advise against it? Thanks for the great content :)

I like how your voice over in these episodes feels more like "spoken word". You can choose to listen carefully or you can just let it be part of the music and pick up some words here and there and resonate more with you.

i don't think I've ever heard you swear before. if there was ever an appropriate time, this was it lol. did you do all that with a v2?
@JohnZahorian4 жыл бұрын
debated whether to keep it in or not, but it felt true to the moment. these packs were prototypes pretty similar to the v2 but with different materials, larger capacity, hipbelts

Have your ever felt more without a safety net than on this trip?
@JohnZahorian4 жыл бұрын
having two experienced hikers with PLBs along with me made the safety net feel adequate. going solo off trail without telling anyone where i'm going feels like less of safety net
@paxtianodirtfrog89474 жыл бұрын
@@JohnZahorian That makes sense, and from what I could tell from the video you guys really had one another's back. Really inspiring to someone, like me, just getting into backpacking.

Beautiful video and narration. But you guys were extremely underprepared. This could have gone south in so many ways... Also as someone growing up in the Alps: Do you guys not know about crevasses and how to safely traverse glaciers? Or were crevasses not an issues for you somehow?
