Epic series of videos, you should do a Q&A again, I'm sure lots of people have questions about your trip and your future plans!

This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The northern lights are in other videos I’ve seen, but the storytelling that brought us along to that moment, the perfect music that captured the emotion, and a glimpse of what must have been truly awe inspiring to see in person, are why this is absolutely stunning. Thank you John for putting in the effort to make these videos.

John, your storytelling skills are fantastic. This whole series was magical for me, I cried, I laughed, I worried. I'm gonna watch all of them back to back to back now and do it again. Those northern lights.....wow just wow. Thank you!!

John Z could film me walking my dog around the suburbs. The dog poops, I pick it up. He sniffs another dog. He finds a chicken bone. I take it away. And from the video and music and narration, you’d think I conquered Everest, found the Holy Grail, and defeated a band of pirates.

Tok to Healy...now it makes sense to me especially that you crossed the Delta River off the Richardson Highway. Thanks for showing the aurora...we see it all winter long and a reminder how spectacular that is nice.

Yoo! I found your channel from these videos. I'm an Alaskan and the stigma you mentioned about Alaskan's thinking lower 48ers aren't as tough as us is definitely true. Though watching this epic trek y'all did has changed my mind! Also the light show ya got was epic! I've lived here 18 years and I don't think i've ever seen them like that in the middle of the summer! Also if there's someplace where I could read more about this trek I'd love to learn more about the details of this trek!

YOGOMAN I’m Alaskan also but backpacking / climbing in Oregon vs Alaska was a different animal. My first climb attempt in 2006 when I got here we almost died on Mt Yukla outside eagle river on crows pass. Was an eye opener

Let’s be honest - when we talk about lower 48ers.... we’re talking city folk. Y’all aren’t mall shopping folk. Cheers

This has been an amazing series of videos John. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Alaska is one of those places I think it would be great to get to hike. I’ll probably never get there as I live in the UK, so I really appreciate you taking us along with you. Looked like hard going at times but you always seemed to be smiling other than when life and limb was in danger!

Even though I have never done anything near to this trip or comparable I can totally relate to the victory you must have felt when the hunter looked at you and "you must have seen some shit". For me that is f the greatest sense of accomplishment of being an "outsider". Really loved this series.

Was that ThunderFalls near the end by Eklutna? Did you hike the Resurrection Trail on the Kenai? Lived in Eagle River for 16 years and the Anchorage area. Nice video series John! If you ever go back definitely hike the Reed LakesTrail up to bomber glacier. The trail head is up Hatcher’s Pass out of Palmer. One of my favorite hikes.

I couldnt help but notice a couple extra features on Daisy's pack! Does she have a custom made pack just for her or is that a potential V3? I noticed specifically the padded/pocketed hip belt, the load lifters, and the ability to clip the top down to the sides of the pack. I think these are all great additions! Especially if the padded hip pockets were just able to slide over the attached hipbelt when wanted. Awesome videos! We all love to see it!
