Kodiak had the sockeyes come in first in April May, then the humppies, June July then dog and silvers in august Sept October. The rivers in Kodiak were too short for King Salmon except one river the Karluk which was on the other side of the island along with brown bears.
@markmailander38806 ай бұрын
The Karluk is not the only river with King salmon on Kodiak island.
@Straycat7336 ай бұрын
@@markmailander3880 what other river has kings? When I was there 1960 to 1962 there was the Buscan river, The American river, the Kalsin river. Now mind you after the great earthquake of 64 Kodiak island uplifted some feet on one end and sank feet on the other plus a tidal wave so that land features probably changed and aren’t the same now as back the.

If you guys wanna increase your hook up ratio with beads less of a hook set and more reeling will drastically help you hook more fish and land more fish! Hope this helps
@MinnDakOutdoors7 ай бұрын

@pnwriverfisher7 ай бұрын
Those beads aren’t always going to produce. Find some new sizes and colors and switch things up. Fishing a river here in WA yesterday I cycled through a few colors before even getting a bite (fishing one hole they were sitting in) and finally a purple bead produced 6 kings, 2 over 20 pounds. Size and color matters. Other things that help w/float fishing: -High viz braid -pegging your bead 6 inches up from the hook instead of just a couple. -Tie your hooks on your leaders with egg loop knots
