Yes, I recognize that Vespa as a former vehicle from the Spanish national post service because the yellow official color, 3:10 a round trumpet (bugle) and the royal crown on the left cofano and 3:25 "Correos" on the right one.

That's an old former Deutsche Post (German Mail) scooter! Great! What a inventive guy...withe the watertank! Doe he ride back island hopping here in Chile? Should drop by and see me her in Puerto Montt so we can go for a ride to see some volcanos! I tried some dirtroads on my chinese scooter and even it having 13 inch wheels that is definitly very uncomfortable...not to say impossible! And big pickuptrucks push you out of their way!!! I always wait untill they get paved!!!

Is there a follow up on this trip to Argentina? Did he ever complete the trip there? What was the outcome?
@geraldscott4302
@geraldscott4302 2 жыл бұрын
He did complete the trip. I recently saw a video made in 2017, some time after he completed this trip. I believe he went through something like 8 pistons? And got robbed along the way, lost $20 and his camera.

indicators! that's what you need on a 90000 km straight road from Alaska to Patagonia! and with 12v lights you can easily scare away a grizzly, while 6v will only protect you from squirrels.

i love these Europeans casually completing long expedition journeys on old classic Vespa scooters. proof that one does not need a huge, uber expensive adventure motorcycle to see the world. I've done some fairly extensive trips around North America on motorcycles but that's the extent of my two wheeled journeys. I'm hoping to make so long distance camping trips this coming spring & summer on a Vespa of my own. 100 kg = 220 lbs. 1 kg = 2.2 lbs. 1 km = 5/8 of a mile or .63 miles, 50 mph = 80 kmh, 100 kmh = 63 mph, 100 mph = 160 kmh, 1000 km = 630 miles, 1000 miles = 1600 km. 2.5 cm = about 1 inch, 10cm = about 4 inches, 15 cm = about 6 inches, 12 inches (or 1 foot) = about 30 cm, 91.5 cm = 1 yard, 1 metre = about 39.3 inches, 1 litre is just a wee bit bigger than 1 US quart. 4 litres is therefor just slightly more than 1 US gal., 1 US Gal = about 3.7 litres, 1 litre is slightly smaller than 1 Imperial quart & thus 1 Imp gal is a bit bigger than 4 litres, 1 Imp gal = about 4.4 litres. Sorry for geeking out but when the dude who was interviewing the fellow travelling on his Vespa, looked at the camera & informed his viewing audience with authority, as though he knew what he was talking about, & said; 100 kg is about 160 lbs, I could not let that stand. *Edit: It's always good for a laugh when an American tries to translate metric into the American Standard System. They also seem to think that the Imperial measurement system is the same as the US standard system. That one is equally as frustrating as them confusing metric measurements. There are one or two other countries in the world besides the USA that still use the antiquated American Standard System. Liberia, a third world African nation basically founded & supported by the US government is one of them. Come on you American cave men, get with the 21st century.
