Had to comment. So many beautiful memories rushing over me. Hard working help mates and the banter between you two reminded me of my parents when they were still here on this earth. You and I live worlds apart...me at the California coast born of immigrant parents living in separate cultures but with so much in common. I still hear the banter between my parents talking of the chores that need to be done while speaking of their hopes and dreams for me and my siblings. You hear the noises of breakfast being made, the crackling of a fire, and the smell of coffee. I hear pots and pans clanking in my mom's hands in the kitchen, the coffee, and the fog horns in the harbor as I lay half sleeping in my warm bed. My parents introduced us to camping in nature. Swims in the river, camp set up and breakdown, housekeeping chores and campfire food. Oh the freedom we experienced! Thank you for simply being real and grateful to God and his gifts. I am in my 70's now, in the midst of plans to camp travel north along the west coast and God willing, all the way to Canada. I have inherited my parents camp equipment and I have a 2002 Highlander that runs like a champ. The inspiration you've provided will take me along my path. God Bless Both of You!

Hi Brooke, Nah, you're right about having to cut down some trees to see the ridge ... it's just beautiful after all that hard work you guys both did!! I think the forest/ woods is just so beautiful, especially in the winter I love to hear the snow crunch underneath my cowboy boots!! I used to live in wrightwood California where the air is just so crisp and clean a few years ago. And I can tell you Brooke, there's nothing but trees and forestry up there and a small town with smog free clean air ... I just love the clean air up there and the atmosphere. Not to mention all the wildlife up there that we've got livin' in the woods. I sure like to go back up there to live oneday again! I do miss it immensely! I'm so happy for you and Dave! You guys look soooo happy playin' in your yard, designing it and all! What a thrill it must be to envision what's truly going to be there, before it's even there! You guys are a man / woman with a plan!! 👍👍 Two thumbs up for you guys!! Lots of blessings and love towards you guys!!👍😏🇺🇸 Callie from Apple Valley California 🍎😏

Hello, Hello, Hello 🙋 I have so much to say I'm not sure where to start. So.....let me say....... I just Love the crap out of you two 😁. I am so thrilled that I found your channel a month or so ago. I've never commented because I tend to not know when to stop typing, lol. But I can be silent no longer. You my dear are AMAZING, Simply AMAZING!!! I LOVED watching you guys on Alone but watching you actually live like you do in your daily lives just because you love it is even more amazing to me. You guys make living off the land, in nature look so good and even achievable for others to do. I know some women that love camping and nature walks etc but I don't know any personally that can stand toe to toe with their male counter part in capabilities and knowledge of all you need to live in nature totally from scratch. I'm sure there are some but not lots. Your husband is blessed to have such a strong motivated wife that will not only cook for him but can cut the tree down, chop it up, set up tents and make it so warm and cozy, set up the stove a make the fires and cook some beautiful food for him. Yes, Your Amazing!! You two make a fantastic couple and are so enjoyable for us to watch living the back to nature lifestyle. I couldn't believe it when I saw you had all these great videos on U-tube for anyone to watch and your TV stars also. Watching your videos is also so uplifting for me especially because I am in a wheelchair and could never do the things you do so I live Vicariously through all your outdoor adventures. I loved watching you put up that tent and surprising your hubby. Starting to clear trees and clean up your new land by yourself, before he even got there. Your just awesome and together you guys could live anywhere starting with nothing and make whatever you need to survive and also be happy and comfortable. I m so glad I found your channel and look forward to seeing you build your cabin on your new land and all your other adventures that you take us on in the woods with your hubby or girlfriends , your dog or just yourself. I live in Iowa and it's looking like a winter wonderland this morning and the snow is falling fast at the moment. Take care ' Girl in the Woods' and keep those home fires burning bright! 😉 Hugs an friendship from Karen in Iowa 💜🙋💜 PS, told ya I don't know when to Shut up 😉😂😉
