I remember when my neice's were younger every year I would buy board games...Uno, Operation, Clue, Sorry, Trouble & Squence was always a favorite just to name a few...I know I bought what felt like over a hundred games when they were little... The pop-it's...ok I will admit this too you...About 3 months ago I bought me one! love it, keeps my hands busy when watching video's or movies (so I don't eat alot of snacks) so far I have lost about 5 lbs. The candy my son asked for every year was the Turtles with the pecans/chocolate & caramel...my personal favorite is the Lifesavers book. Ever since I can remember I have always bought my mom the chocolate orange...I found her one & she got it early this year. When my son was younger I always put an orange, an apple, couple hot wheels, some of his favorite candy Turtles and usually a blueberry candy cane (as those are his all time favorites!) into his stocking. As he got older the hot wheels was replaced with ammo for his deer rifle, or gift cards to his favorite hunting store. Just wandering if you have ever tried the Burt's Bees Rescue Elderberry lip balm? I only use it in the winter time & it's the only lip balm that actually does what it says it will. Lauren, Thank you for sharing your Family. When all your Boys said Happy Thanksgiving to us, it just made me smile. I caught myself, saying it back. Weston and Bennett what a surprise in reciting the poems. My Husband liked that especially. He is a singer/songwriter. He sings alot of songs from his boyhood. His Parents were much like yours, raising you off the Land. But he lived in the Illinois Plains. The stories of old, are the memories that keep us getting through hard times. And to build Hope in our Future. I feel like Weston will be a storyteller. Lauren, your Mothering Heart is so beautiful. I think each of your Viewers see's their Mother in some way. You just have a way to make each of us feel special. My Husband Gary, just loves to watch your Family. We called his 92 year old Mom today and sang a Christmas Carol. He said, "Mom is always the place to get it all started ". You kinda inspired him today. So your prayers are being answered. We are praying for your Family to have the Best Year. I don't have many happy childhood memories, and Christmas was no exception, because of that I kinda go all out for my kids ( I buy all year round to make it happen) and have made several traditions we do each year, one of those being they get to open one gift on Christmas Eve, and they always get new pajamas. when my kids they were little would play xmas .they would wrap up just about all their toys and books every day for weeks and every day pile them all under the tree they would unwrap all of them every morning and be so SURPRISED . also so careful about unwrapping so the could reuse the paper ! how cute is that ? forty years later i still cry like a baby remembering that lovely time of my life ! treasure these times !

My Dad used to save paper and cut it down for small presents the following year. He had it all boxed up, organized. He would tell my Mom every year what they needed. Like Lauren he had a room designated for gift wrapping. When we were old enough, we got to enter the room. Dad made it fun wrapping for the younger kids. Same here with Kohl’s, couldn’t find anything. Bilirubin did good at Walmart, Target , 5Below and Burlington. My grand kids seem to all be into drawing, painting and reading this year, so picked up sketchbooks, paints, color pencils and gel pens. Also Christmas pj’s to . That’s a tradition for all of us! Awe Lauren you’re so caring, I was tearing up as well at the end thinking back to my childhood Christmas traditions. This is my 1st Christmas without both my parents. My mum passed away suddenly 2 years ago. My dad then lived with me, he had a fall and was admitted to hospital for tests that all came clear and his discharge was being planned. 2 hours after getting the good news, the doctor phoned back to say he had choked eating his dinner and died. We’ve just had his funeral and in the midst of sorting out his belongings I had an accident and badly burnt my leg. But I have my 2 fur babies and its the pups 1st Christmas. I’ve had so much support from friends and family and I find comfort watching your videos, your family are so adorable….. we had our 1st snow fall this morning, everything was sparkling… the pup loved it. Prayers would be much appreciated xx

I teared up too. Thank you for sharing with us. My father loved to ice fish, so it was fun watching your family. Glad you found some good buys shopping. I always buy the lifesaver story books as my mother did that for us and I carried on the tradition for the grandkids and now great grandkids. We always buy at least one new game per family as a gift. We all love playing games. We play several trivia games and have many favorites. After Thanksgiving dinner, we let everyone choose their favorite and play each game. Bless your sweet heart Lauren! This time of year is definitely rough for me & my family. As you already know about my mother, my Poppa passed 20 years ago on the 21st of Nov. Back then he passed the day before Thanksgiving and one day before my Mom's birthday. We just celebrated her birthday on the 23rd. My sister & I tried to make it as special as we could since we know it more than likely be her last. We pray that she'll make it through the month of December and into 2022. I don't want to lose her during the Christmas season as I already have a difficult time with the holidays already. But it's up to God to decide when he's going to call her home. In the past I decorate just enough for my Mom to enjoy. But since mom's bedridden, even if I do decorate she won't be able to see them. So I might just put out my nativity and my ceramic tree. With taking care of her 24/7, I just don't have the energy to do much more. I know you've been praying for us and I truly do appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. My family needs all the prayers we can get. I'm glad you & your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. That ice fishing would be too cold for me! We had a few traditions growing up. My sister & I would always get the Lifesaver books in our stockings. I would get silly putty, & other little things then as I got older I'd get make up & other grown up things. We never did the matching PJs. But we were allowed to pick one present to open on Christmas Eve. I have good childhood memories. I have the Clue game in its original packaging. They changed the look of the boxes. It's a fun game to play. I have alot of my games & some toys from my childhood. I keep them in my cedar chest. They're sentimental to me. You bought a lot of cute things for your boys & nieces. They're going to love them! You're right about Everett. It's quantity over quality. Also the size of the box! 😂 They like lots of presents to open. At least their items don't cost as much as the older boys. My sister & I were the same way. I'm almost five years older & I was getting more tween/teenage items & my sister was getting toys. It's a big difference! 😂 I'm so glad I came across your channel and subscribed. I watch as many vlogs as I can time permitting. I'm usually up late watching since Mom is usually asleep and it's my quiet time. Thank you for being you! 💕

Lauren, I so loved your vlog today! Seeing your precious boys definately brought a smile to my face. Your Thanksgiving plans as well as Black Friday shopping reminded me of our family's plans long ago. Holidays are especially hard for my husband and I. In the last 7 years I have loss my dad, my mom, my only sibling , my mother-in-law and our son(he was only 28). He was a perfect pictture of perfect health. The doctors told us his heart just stoopped beating. We miss him so much!!!!! I just love watching you and Everette at Costco, your convereations and his samples!!! You are truly blessed! Lauren, your such an amazing companionate person who just loves with your whole ❤️. Yes, there are alot of people out there that don't get to celebrate Christmas with our loved ones. I haven't celebrated Christmas since 2014 since the death of my husband and since my children are both in their 30's and on their own with family's of their own. But my advice to you is....love your children for as long as you can because they grow up to fast and unfortunately move away.

We have gone through some struggles these past couple of years and l truly would be nothing without her strength, kindness and determination. Hi Shirley - I had papillary thyroid cancer 2 years ago - with a total thyroidectomy done. Hopefully your husband is in great care and massive prayers for complete healing.
