I was fortunate enough to live in Alberta in the mid 1970's. We frequently camped and explored in K country. I recall camping at Spray Lakes for a week, and never seeing another person. Back then, there was no Lougheed park, and no big government owned getaway in K country. Turner Valley/Sheep River area was also one of my favorite spots to camp. You rarely saw other people back then, in these areas. So much has changed since then, but the mountains remain the same. I lived in Banff for the latter part of 1976, and it is an experience I will never forget. Thank you so much for these videos. It brings back memories I had forgotten.

My Grandfather would tell me about taking the Model T down the Valley, removing parts of the car to prevent them from being damaged on the dirt track. I can only imagine what it looked like back then! Still love it though. It's a great playground. You can still find that track if you know where to look

I have been watching your BC videos with particular interest lately because I'm planning on exploring BC for a month in 2025 -- probably August-September. I live in Washington, D.C. (btw, Carol, I'm a fellow Oregonian -- from Hood River, before windsurfers discovered it). Thank you so very much for sharing your adventures on and off the island. Your positive spirit is a welcome respite (I was awakened this morning at 4:00a by gunfire on my block). Your Sunday videos have been must-see TV for a few years. I'm hoping that at some point after your Trans-Canada trip is complete you will do a retrospective video on it, recounting reflections, highlights, lowlights, what you'd do differently and what you'd recommend for others roadtripping Canada. I've done five trans-America roadtrips, most recently this past spring: 9,000 miles roundtrip DC to Oregon/California. My 2025 journey to BC will be the first I've roadtripped in Canada. It will be focused primarily on BC, which I'll enter from the east side of Glacier NP. I'm undecided how much time to spend in Canada's southern Rockies (probably a couple weeks) and where to go in the rest of the province and for how long. Also am inclined to return home primarily through Canada, crossing the border to the US at Niagara (have family to visit in New York state). Will be driving a Toyota Tundra 4x4 (TRD-OffRoad) with canopy, 270-degree awning and rooftop tent (Alu-Cab products). Also, there's at least one great book in your EFRT adventures to-date. I'd be early in line for the first edition. Thanks again and best wishes in everything you all have going on these days.

Now we are retired we will have to go back and take the over land trail. Best part of Banff Spring was met my wife working there and it has been more that 30years now. Time goes by so we will have to pack up the ambulance camper & get started on our trip next season. all the best the Turners, Ian and Sue

I am sure enjoying this series. Such beautiful country we live in and so many don't know about it. Unfortunately I have only seen parts of it over the years, except for my home province of SK, of which I have seen a lot of it from road and air. You got some stunning shots - but I had to smile at the drone shot beside the river...it looked like you were hugging the cliff wall pretty close. Understandable. Thanks again for taking us along.

Hi. This video brings back beautiful memories. My son served a LDS mission in this area from 2002 to 2004. When he returned home we with our 2 daughters returned to see some of the places that he served in. We traveled to Lethbridge, up to Calgary, then to Banff then down to Fernie. This drive through BC was so absolutely beautiful. We also stop to see the big truck 😊 we left Canada thru Cardston and Glacier park. We live in south eastern Idaho so it wasn't to far of a drive. I would love to go back, but it's harder to get i to Canada now than it was 20 years ago. Love your channel. ❤

Stayed in Canmore at the WorldMark Resort and went hiking. Went up and hiked Lake Louise and Lake Moraine. Took ski lift across the highway from Lake Louise where we saw four grizzly bears. Headed up the Jasper Highway one early morning and it was beautiful seeing the lakes with sunrise shining on them. Went out on Attabasca Glacier and walked on the Glass Walkway. Loved Alberta. It's the best of the Provinces I have been to.

I've used a gel type bug and tar remover like the one you used. But as a gel, I also applied a thin layer on the front of the truck after it's clean to keep a thin layer of product on there and it really helps to keep the mess to a minimum and makes future cleaning a breeze. It also worked for the leading edges on the wings and the windscreen of my small plane.
