"Your Lie in April" is probably the most referenced/requested show on my channel! For those of you who haven't seen it, it's an anime about classical music, featuring a violinist and a pianist. It also happens to be one of my favorite anime!
I've always been meaning to cover some of the songs from YLIA. However, there's too many songs I love from the OST, so I decided to make a medley of my favorites with my friend LilyPichu!
We decided to go with a gender-bend cosplay concept for the video, since the violinist in the anime is a blonde girl, and the pianist is black haired boy. We also tried our best to capture the feel of the show in the cinematography/set locations. Prepare to embark on the feels train! T^T

Your Lie in April doesn’t give you depression, it helps you deal with it, this anime made me understand that there still is hope when I moved countries, I had lost contact with all my friends and the desire to do anything, but after watching this amazing show I started to watch the brighter side of the thing, I started to look up in the sky, and see the stars glowing, twinkling up there.

I don't think this truly is a sad ending. It's a sad ending for us but not for Kousei. Even if he lost his physical contact with Kaori, she gave her in the short time she had back his love for music and his talent for piano. He now has a reason to play and will have a great piano future, and this is thanks to her. So it's a happy ending for Kousei's piano but a sad ending for watchers

Hey all! Sorry for not having posted in a while! Pretty much everything that could've gone wrong went wrong: 1. Our initial hair/make-up person got in a minor car accident driving back from work, so she couldn't make the shoot 2. One of our production assistant's sister got in a car accident, so he couldn't make the shoot. 3. Our camera operator pulled a muscle in his back earlier in the day, so he couldn't work at full capacity. 4. We had to reschedule one of the shoot days, and ended up moving it to a day that was 20 degrees warmer than the first date. 6. Lily accidentally spill food on her outfit during lunch. 7. We forgot one of our ties on the 2nd day of shooting, and I had to go look for matching ties an hour before the shoot. We ended up getting there an hour late. 8. We didn't realize there wasn't an elevator to get to the rooftop, so we had to lug a piano, amp, violin, and all the camera gear up 4-5 floors. 9. The power outlet on top of the rooftop wasn't working, so we had to run extension cords down 2 flights of stairs, and down a hallway into the main building. 10. We didn't have enough time to finish filming everything, so I had to go on my own time to film b-roll footage to fill in the places we didn't have shots for. 11. After we finished filming, I got roped into a lot of random projects/favors, so I've only had time to work on this in between jobs/traveling. 12. I've been sick for nearly a month now, and am still dying :D WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID, this is a project I'm particularly proud of, so I hope you all enjoy it!

Hey! I thought the movie was fairly well done. While I felt the storyline to be quite predictable, the acting was extremely well done and I think that the story was executed well. I say give it a shot! Definitely added the anime to my to-watch list! Haven't watched much anime, but every one loves YLIA so imma give it a shot.
