Yeah, we actually have a lot of trouble with the first week of every video. Generally we have to change titles and thumbnails numerous times (one time we did 12 changes) before we can get a video to stick. Well, long story Short: his father has served jail cuz of business fraud, the comitee of his company consits only of his family( including his forementioned father), he has a strong support of Croatian Government(esp. finacially) and EU( altough his company doesnt make any money) , he has been talkin for years about going public( to collect money from investors) but never di it. And on,on. The point is his cars look dope, but he seems as a fraud, since he has taken a lot of tax payers money and hasnt delivered any bussines results or stratigic invesment for Croatia.

After watching his interview he gave a couple years ago, where he told this exact story, his story and the story all around Rimac, it's great to see the increase in attention he's getting. Mate and Rimac itself are gaining so much popularity right now, it's insane. I visited the IAA Frankfurt 2011 with my dad (he's croatian as well) and he told me about the concept one. There is even an old picture of me standing beside the car. But since the Nevera (C_Two back then) got announced and me growing up, I was hyped. I watched all videos, read articles about him and watched the interview he gave. Since then, Mate became a role model. The way he built his own company in such young years and to such an extend just blows my mind over and over again, each day I hear something new about Rimac. Thanks for this video. It was a dope refresher to the interview in a story-telling format!

Mate is an absolute inspiration! Have been in awe with his work n his humble nature from the time he got featured on Salomondrin's channel where he accepted the challenge from Alejandro to run the Concept One against his Weissach 918 Spyder. It was mind-blowing at the time to see the ease at which the Concept One pulled away from the 918 on the road as well as on the drag strip. For someone who can't stand EVs, his creation stunned me. I remember at the time, alot of hyper car owners called it a one time star n that the company wouldn't be around for too long. Awesome to see Mate n the team scaling new heights.

Honestly, I think that the biggest issue that Mate will have is exposure. The Nevera is (roughly) 2.5 million USD with a very limited production run of 150 units over three years. That is not going to be in the hands of a lot of folks. It's just not. Just about every person that I have heard get into the Nevera is... changed after it. Which is the core of the problem, the performance is so massive that you have to see it, you have to feel it, and at those prices, that is not going to happen unless you want to do Monterey Car Week and the like. That said.... the fact that Porsche wants their hands on this tech is telling. I mean the way that the company kept the lights on is by becoming a consultant and supplier. A Porsche (or a VW car) with a "Power by Rimac Technology" badge might be a good way to solve that issue without becoming a mass producer.

He said that his cars are build to show the technology and the money will come from automotive brands that want to use that technology in their cars. So for now - smart.

@@nazgulzg To be honest was telling for another reason.... What I have just described is also Porsche actual business. They are, at it's core, a constant business on the making of automobiles. The manufacturing of cars is in fact... a side hustle. Mate is basically doing the same thing, the Nevera is a giant billboard if you want EV tech... The technology company sells those parts to others. The Bugatti merger gives Porsche (and VW) the access to not only the tech, but the folks whom make that tech. Do not underestimate the value for expertise, it is worth a lot more than the product itself.

Few quick notes: - The BMW 6 series at 4:50 was his car as well (the green BMW was not his first car, he's from a wealthy family) - 11:10 Concept One chassis and shape was heavily based off of Factory Five kit car that Mate bought - Search for Applus Idiada Volar-E, the actual first "concept one" that was sold (to another company in Spain that needed something really quickly) - Hammond's C1 caught fire only because it was upside down (GTA logic ;)) - Autonomous capabilities are not there yet, and are relying on NVidia. - 15:10 manufacturing facility, or "campus" is just the first step in their greenfield expansion (starting production ~2024). They bought a much larger area close by and Mate himself hinted Campus 2 and 3 several times - Pininfarina Battista is built on top of Nevera technology, also targeting 150 units. This means that ~300 "Neveras" will be built (until a new spider version is unveiled)

Well considering that the 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo S was able to consistently set 0 to 60 in under 2.0 seconds and Motor Trend's drivers where able to hit 0-60 MPH in 1.80 (so the 1.7 Second time of this car isn't that impressive all of a sudden), the 911 Turbo S can do a 0 to 200 MPH in 14.8 Seconds, or the 0-100-0 MPH in under 10 seconds. Granted this is a fine piece of engineering.

Mybe there is custom build Porsche Lambo or some other drag strip custom cars that can have even better time ofc but this car is clean out of production line without any custom stuff on it and even has capability of upgrading preformance by a software update of computer for the owners in future,well ofc it wont be a free but what the hell... Allready people can ask him to jump in they own Nevera from stock limited 350 kmh top speed by paying extra like add on equipment for the car to 415 kmh top speed and little more power on acc. So conclusion is that car has more space for more power even if its rn the most powerfull and fastest production car allready so .... Mate has Ace in pocket for any case guys i telling you this car is going to be 23 record holder for a long time...Execption is that fully light batmobile funny small Concept car which is McMurtry Speirling Pure but that car will never become production car so record wont worth for him anyways that car is too small and too fast and too unsecure to become street legal and pass all of the homologation tests for safety... so there you have it.... I also highly disagree that Hammond was at fault for the accident being that one of the biggest issues that EVs face is the lack of sound particularly engine speed sound, Hammond is one of the worlds most experienced (non-race car) drivers of ultra high end ultra high performance and ultra exclusive vehicles. He has been entrusted with the world’s most valuable vehicles for decades. He along with many other journalists and professional drivers alike have all said that ev’s fatal flaws are not being able to accurately measure or predict how fast they are really moving without a traditional engine noise. My point is he’s not entirely to blame many ppl have recognized this as a potential problem. I’m glad he’s okay

The Nevera is surely among the fastest cars in the world right now but to claim that it's "the fastest car ever made", you gotta be the biggest Rimac fan ever. The fastest accelerating car right now is the McMurtry Speirling without a doubt. And the car that has highest top speed is probably the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut. Carwow already did a speedtest with the Speirling and the Nevera. The fancar is superior in acceleration but its speed limit doesn't allow it to go absolutely wild.
