I highly recommend the album The Gift by Beyonce and the accompanying film Black Is King!

You are spot on. In the BTS for this album she mentioned how having Blue ignited this self love for her body, curves, and all the changes a woman’s body goes through when they have baby. She wanted to combat this idea that women who have babies can’t celebrate their bodies and somehow be sexy as well. Spot on.

Writing this before watching. This is the album that changed music for me. I remember it clear as day, I woke up a 17 year old not interested in albums hahaha Looking forward to seeing this experience for you Steven! For me this is one of those pivotal moments within music, I hope you enjoy it! (Ill be back to reply after watching)

Bey definitely became more liberated in this record, not necessarily the first time she did this type of song but def the first time she felt fully confident in herself to just say and do whatever was on her mind.

Beyoncé’s long songs are the beeest! Rocket, Virgo’s groove, all night, II hands to heaven… omg! But Rocket is sooo rich I can’t explain. Another song that is one of my favorites is dance for you in the album "4", is so sensual and sexy but vocally is so powerful😮💨🤌🏻

This is my favorite Beyoncé album especially since there is a music video for every song. And also third eye blind (my fav band of all time me and my bff have seen them in concert at least 13 times) and they did an awesome cover of “Mine” 😬

i think you should definitely listen to Jay’s 4:44 album and then their joint album ‘Everything Is Love’ to get the rest of the story of him cheating. you probably will still hear or watch things of Bey’s and think “how can you do that to this woman” but it really wasn’t about her and more so his problems
@blackkatt777Ай бұрын
You should really watch the visual album of this. She made a video for each song, and it puts things into perspective. The song Heaven is heavily believed to be about her miscarriage before Blue, but she never confirmed that. It was also said that she lost a friend to an illness as well. This album tackles the idea that mothers are women too. They can still be sexy and adventurous. She's claiming it. So many groups were bashing the sexual subject matters, without getting the purpose. You skipped it, but Bow down (the segways song going into Flawless) is my ish that gets me feeling boss. Lol Like others have suggested, can you listen to the soundtrack she made for Lion King reboot called The Gift? She actually went to different parts of Africa to work with different artists in the Afro beats genre. Also, the making of it is awesome too. Did you ever hear the version of Mi Gente she featured on? During Hurricane Maria (I think, can't remember the name) that did a lot of damage to Puerto Rico, Blue told her she loved Mi Gente and told her to say yes to working on the remix. She has a shout out to Blue in the song "Azul are you with me?" In the last verse of that chorus you can hear Blue answer back "Oh yes, I am". Too cute. She said any streamed copies bought from her site..all the procedes was going straight to the donations for repair of P.R. Blue pulls at my heartstrings, because it's the joy of having Blue after her first loss. So much love in her voice.
