normally happier than ever was supposed to be the closer but finneas and billie wanted to finish the album on a positive note so instead of the album closing with "just fucking leave me alone" it ended with "i know i should but i could never hate you"

@Sandy Gan as a parent, there's only so much you can do. you have to find a ballance between protecting your kid and giving them the freedom to experiment. i think her parents are amazing and even if they tried, they couldn't just make Billie give up on him. she needed to see and feel it for herself. he's a grown up bastard who took advantage of a teenage girl and that's how he will always be remembered.

@Sandy Gan the main thing was the allegations against her boyfriend (racist posts on facebook), but apparently after they resurfaced they broke up (he no longer follows her on IG e she said on an interview a few weeks after that she has never cried that much in years but never said the reason). I found it to be childish (and a bit misogynistic) to cancel a girl because of her boyfriend's posts o FACEBOOK over 7 years ago. The second thing was the "queerbaiting" on her Lost Cause video, but that's a 12 year old complaint because queerbaiting is about big companies proffiting off queer people. Billie can and should do whatever she wants to whoever she wants because sexuality is a spectrum, she doesn't owe anyone any explanation about her sexuality.

This whole album is a fckin masterpiece! And "Happier than ever"... man. It's such a good song. Billie said that it was the most therapeutic song she's ever written, and that she screamed her lungs out when they recorded this song, but she really wanted to this for a long time.

In Everybody Dies she said that she feels happy and sad at the same time that all things come to an end. She feels a sort of relief that she will die someday and nothing matters. I resonate with that so much, hearing her say that makes me feel connected to her.

terrific reaction, review and analysis - if Billie and FINNEAS were inclined to make an album full of tracks similar to the 2nd half of "Happier Than Ever", they could have songs on the radio and at the top of the charts. I would love that, but I don't believe radio playability is their goal - they hear music differently than a lot of other artists - what a dynamic duo! The album came out on FINNEAS's B.D. (July 30) one year to the day after "MY FUTURE" was released (July 30, 2020). The Happier Than Ever Music Video is worth your time - you'll love it, even without reacting to it. I admire Billie & FINNEAS, and what's more I believe in them [ if I weren't 67, I might say "I love them", but I'll let the younger generations declare their affection in that way! ] Thanks again.
