Falling is my favourite track on the album. This is only me, but I think the 20min/towel story is not true. It's something he's conjured up to distract people. Because that song has a lot of painful emotions in it and there's definitely a history behind it, which he wants to keep private, therefore the 20min/towel story. Also, this will sound morbid, but I think Falling and Adore You are tracks that feel like Harry Styles is asking someone to listen to him, almost like a cry for help. We've recently lost some talented artists way too soon; it's just me, but I am concerned.

Treat People With Kindness has been Harry's mantra since his first album. It's definitely his brand. He used the mantra for the promotion of his first solo tour and in merch. In a recent interview he revealed that he had told his producer that one day he wants to have a song named Treat People With Kindness (aka TPWK), and his producer said that if you want to make then make it now and that"s how this song came about in this record . Ooh and it's so much fun live. He performed it in the one night only show in LA on the release day and it was so much fun!

harry has written each and every song on his debut album and on fine line. he writes the closest with kid harpoon, mitch rowland (his guitarist in the band) and a few other close friends. he's said that he writes the best music when it's in a close group of friends where he feels like everyone just wants the album to be the best it can be, without twenty different writers all just wanting to get their credits and songs on the album.

I couldn’t quite figure out what it was the song makes me feel when I listen to it, and when you said what you said I was like THIS! the whole album is a fine line between happiness and sadness, it takes a second to go low and then up again... but most of the time we all walk on the fine line between those emotions

I really love the journey of the album. For your information, yes harry as at least co-written every song of his two albums. He pretty much writes with the same 3/4 people (ine of them being his bassist). Also Kid Harpoon produced most of the album (almost all of it I think). Personally can't pick a favourite songs, it depends on my mood. So happy you saw that it was a journey from the first song to the last. Falling, written in 20 minutes shows how hurt he was but also how reflective he’s been on his relationship (through the lyrics). He was able to pick up these lyrics so quickly just inspired by his friend (kid harpoon?) played on the piano at his house. There’s a sense of broken in his voice in this song that makes him seem so broken but so raw.... I just love the simplicity and the imperfection of it

I absolutely agree that this album is not only a no skip but you have to listen to it from start to finish. It’s all one story. Harry said he tried to be as honest in this album as possible and we can hear it especially in part B which is also my favorite. Falling is incredible. The raw emotions. None of the songs are actually fully happy. Even the upbeat one the upbeat one or treat people with kindness which has a line about departed friends. Fine Line is..something else. Those trumpets and the crescendo.. It’s like an apotheose Treat People With Kindness is actually is motto and you are right that it fits him. He is very kind and part of the revenue of his concerts goes to local charities in the countries he goes to (LGBTIQ, Mental illness, cancer, children in need, refugees etc etc everything and anything without discrimination of color, religion or anything. He even took advice from some fans there for some) It’s amazing to think that he has so many people excited and jamming to this sound that is indeed quite old He is a talented lyricist. What u picked up ( and I didn’t notice untl you mentioned it) was definitely on purpose. He wrote all his songs. At the very least co-wrote them

It was truly something special to see you taken on an this emotional journey. But, you’re the exception! It has been so refreshing and rewarding to watch you go down the Harry Styles rabbit hole, and I just stumbled upon your channel yesterday. Just a few months ago, I had no idea who Harry Styles was or One Direction. But, I was immediately blown away by his music, writing, vocals, everything. I’m a huge, forever fan of his now. I’m so excited to see him in concert later this year when he comes to N.C.! Harry just keep getting better and better and he's a natural performer. Always have been. I wasn't into 1D all that much but I always love Zayn and Harry. Mostly because I gravitate towards their vocals more. But I know Harry was always a better performer, he's so fun to watch on stage. So confident, and always interact with fans. (Not saying other guys were bad, they were all good but Harry always shine a bit more to me). When he released Sign of the times, I just love him even more. He was being true to himself 100%. It was definitely a risk to jump genre from Pop and Pop/Rock to old school classic rock like he did. Especially being in a boyband and his fanbase, not really the kinda music you'd expect from him.. But he did it right. I wish you give the other guys a chance. Especially Zayn. I don't listen to Niall and Liam much because of the style of their music. Louis I do enjoy his music. But Zayn to me is very underrated. Mainly because he didn't do any promo, but his music and his voice alone should make him more popular imo. Give him a chance. He might surprise you, just like Harry did.

You should definitely react to "Four" and "Made in the a.m" by One Direction it's really good!!! Maybe you won't love all the song but you're definitely going to love most of them!!

The whole album is quite conceptual, you cannot skip anything here, you'd be out of context same instant. Something about Golden makes me really nostalgic but also wanting to dance non-stop, same with Adore You and Lights Up. This album should be listened to in good speakers without any distractions. It's not your office background music, believe me I tried to do that, doesn't work :) Fine Line song sounds so Bon Iver

I'm going to his concert in late 2021 and I'm so damn excited. The atmosphere he creates during his shows is always so special and inclusive. I just hope it isn't cancelled due to covid :/

The beginning of She reminds me of David Sylvian and then the rest of the song reminds me of Arctic Monkeys. I freaking love this album.

Thank you so much. I think you worded it perfectly. This album really is a journey. It felt like a story. It was so him and idk it's just so well done and I'm so proud of him. He did it again 👏🙌

Please watch him perform 'falling' live at the Forum, it was the first time and his vocals are AMAZING and there is ALOT of emotion

You found the word that I didn't--atmospheric. He creates this atmosphere. It's like a journey, an experience. She is completely transporting. That is my favorite track. Fine Line makes me want to swing in a hammock between 2 palm trees on a beach with an adult beverage. Falling made me seriously cry when I heard it the first time. Harry has a way of delivering such emotionally raw vocals. It hits hard. I am so glad that someone else heard Queen influences in his music. I heard it but I haven't heard anyone else say that.

I wonder why no one else picked up on that? Its some very obvious nods to Queen for sure! This album was great! I have seen mixed reviews online and that's crazy.

@@StevenInStereo I don't put a lot of value in reviews because they're so subjective. I hear a lot of 70s queen influences in this album. I would love this album if I wasn't already a fan. He has taken a 70s retro sound and added some modern elements to it and put his own magic on it.
