Listen to Incesticide to hear what they were doing before Nevermind. Which they released obviously after Nevermind to prepare their true fans for In Utero. I remember falling asleep with my first bassist that I talked into buying after Something in the Way. Then however later Endless Nameless came on in the dark and scared the hell out of us lol. This came out of a rage from Kurt after Lithium wasn't working.

There's supposed to 10 minutes of silence between Something In The Way and Endless, Nameless. It's not the end but more an appendix. Drain You and Lounge Act are growers.

Hidden tracks were a big thing back in the 90s. It’s hard to explain them to people who weren’t there haha

Lounge Act is one of my favourite Nirvana songs ever. It's so "Kurt Cobain Cool".

Honestly, I might actually be crazy enough do what you said and ask the next person I see wearing a Nirvana shirt what their favorite lyric in "Floyd The Barber" is? Anyways, pleasantly surprised by your reaction. Looking forward to In Utero. That one's kind of like the severely depressed cousin of Surfer Rosa, so it should make for an interesting reaction video.

Back in myyyy day.... when vinyl was dead, and cassettes were on the way to becoming a car medium exclusively, and hidden tracks on CDs weren't the commonplace they would become after Nevermind, and there was no internet to spread the news.... maybe there were a few savvy teenagers out there who sooner or later thought to fast-forward the silence that followed 'Something in the Way.' But doofus me had been playing it for weeks at least before simply forgetting to switch discs or turn off the player and had the happy discovery of 'Endless Nameless' suddenly breaking into the room after much silence. Just imagine the joy and perplexity. Too bad it's presented on streaming the way it is.

Biff Juckley was channeling Kurt’s Come As You Are guitar tone on M. Night by the Shyalaman Sea. Or is it, John Nightmayers by the Sea? I forget which one.

"Something In The Way" has the only actual chord that Kurt (supposedly) learned.

I think it might be E minor.

I often see Lounge Act picked out as one of the weaker tracks I think it's top 5 on the album for me though. Maybe it's just easy and fun to relisten to compared to others?

"In Utero" is their best album, IMO. "Bleach" and "In Utero". "Nevermind", as strong as it is, just never hit me as hard, even when it came out.

Interviewer: "So why did you title "NeVeRmInD?" Kurt: "I don't know, so I could dismiss the question" He was brilliant in acknowledging what he meant but didn't know what he was doing. If that makes sense. Oh well, whatever NeVeRmInD.

It's a pretty mid album tbh, a little too polished and the fans really ruined it for me, Nirvana fans meat ride Nirvana like it's their only way to survive

@@UreBand Being unable to like something because other people like it too much is worse than liking something just because it's popular. Both are reactionary, a conformation to the opinion of others, but being an antisheep combines the inauthenticity of the sheep with pretention.

@@UreBand The hysterical fanaticism you are projecting on to me despite being completely absent from my psychoanalytic critique is just further confirmation of the dismissive pretentious superiority complex that enables the delusional hypocrisy inherent to the antisheep ethos which you exemplify. lol, sorry, in my defense you are making this kind of stuff irresistible, carry on; Nevermind is mid and that deep insight is proof that you are indeed so not like the other girls 💅
