I just wanted to say that no matter what is happening in your life that I appreciate you and thank you for this amazing memory you have given me in my childhood. I havent come back to rewatch Alcatraz in a long time, but I did today and I just wanted to say that this series is one of the things that inspired younger me to become interested in writing stories and characters and I genuinelly do not know where I would be today if it wasnt for that. Sweet mother of god why do you not have more subscribers. BUT DEAR GOD WAS THIS WORTH THE WAIT!!! I remember seeing this uploaded when I woke up and I was like 'HHNNGGG YES YES ALL OF THIS, BRB LIFE GOTTA ALCATRAZ' Honestly I can't pick out what I love most about this ep, definitely the best yet! The animation, as always, was simply SUBLIME and sequences like Kayla jumping into the barrel and the mountain lion walking around on the plane wreckage was utterly exquisite, DAMN I WANNA BE THAT GOOD. The directing for this was phenomenal too, ever scene with Kayla really showed how it felt for her to be blind, with not seeing things right away, hearing the noises and camera angles playing it perfectly. Writting was also brilliant, juuuuussttt enough exposition without it getting wordy at the end to keep us all COMPLETELY HOOKED GAH NANOTHINGIES HOW DO THEY GET IN THE BODIES AND STUFF??? (Can you see me being hooked oh lord) And of course, the VOICE ACTING MY JESUS BALLS. Everyone was utterly brilliant and captured ever line perfectly. All in all, so glad to hear your shoulder is better, good luck with college and CONGRATULATIONS ON AN INCREDIBLE EPISODE #teamjudgepikachu

i am so happy i discovered alcatraz! it's (in my opinion) the best youtube animated serie i've seen! and it's also very inspiring, i've have a serie i really want to make but i never knew how to start and such, but everytime i see Alcatraz again it pumps me up to make it! I used to watch this when I was really young, and literally maybe a few days after episode 2 came out was when I watched it.. Oh god it was awesome, this is coming from the child that watched the amazing film watership down when I was 5 or 6 and loved it. It was the storyline, c'mon, and the characters, everything. Same with this, it was so cool, and every few months or so, I would re-watch the entire thing - over and over! THANK YOU SO MUCH. I came across it again today, and realised there were 2 new episodes and I was just amazed I love this so much!!! Also, I love almost all of the characters, but Thorn has got to be my favourite when they re-captured him I was literally screaming on the inside aha

I remember first watching this series when I was a kid. Glad to see that JP is still working on Alcatraz-related stuff! I thought it was an abandoned project for years. And I saw many mentions of health problems and chronic pain; I wish you the best JP. Stuff like that, especially as an artist, has to be draining. I'm so glad that you've kept up your passion for your craft, though!

This episode was great and everything was really intense. The animation is so smooth and realistic, and the voice acting is superb. The fight scenes were very dynamic, and it was unnerving when Midnight was resurrected by the Nanites, with all her injuries completely healing within a matter of seconds. I feel so bad for both Kayla, and Thorne. Kayla is innocent, helpful and sweet, but I like how she has that streak of bravery in her, even though she's blind. Poor Thorne, too. He just did Zephes' dirty work for him because he didn't want to be corrupted by the Nanites. Tabitha also doesn't seem like such a bad individual, and seems like a genuinely good soul, and I like the way she looks out for Kayla and teaches her combat strategies so that she can protect herself. Dusk also does not seem to be as loony and combative as her twin sister, Midnight, and seems more merciful than the latter (though, I think Midnight being infected has a lot to do with her current personality). I'm wondering how Midnight became infected by the Nanites, while Dusk is still a normal cat. Maybe she also dosen't want to be corrupted by them, like Thorne. Hopefully, we will see what Noah and Coby have been up to since Kayla decided to go with Tabitha. Maybe they will come up with a plan to reunite with Kayla, whilst still keeping the book. I really hope that this series continues in the future, because the overall concept, setting, characters, and storyline are very intriguing.

And it's so nice to see Sin, I was waiting for her appearance for the longest since I love her design. Great to see her in action. Omg I found this series a couple years ago and can I just marvel at everything the animation, I love the style, especially how smooth it is. it must've taken a lot of patience and determination. Absolutely fantastic AND it seems that they aren't appreciated much but the voice acting is phenomenal! Every emotion is captured flawlessly. they do a very good job at imitating pain, fear, anger, and a number of other emotions aaaaaaaaa I love this series so much. the sound effects and music add GREAT effect to the episodes as well, and all in all, the series has improved so much!! I can't possibly express how much I love it

I am speechless. This episode was down right spectacular and most certainly worth the wait. I kept getting so many chills throughout the episode and I love the character development between Kayla and Thorn. The character development made me love the two characters even more. I don't care if anyone disagrees with me but, Alcatraz is the best animated series I've seen. I'm so glad you were determined enough to finish this episode, despite your shoulder problems. Don't get me started on how amazing the animation in this is. The animation was so smooth and clean and I loved all the dynamic movements that were happening in this episode, especially near the end where Midnight and Thorn are fighting. The voice acting too was very well done. You picked amazing voice actors for these characters, especially for Midnight and Dusk. Thank you so much for giving us an amazing episode, I hope your shoulder gets a lot better soon, and good luck in collage!

Dungeonxist Be patient you abousily have no idea how animatioing works it's hard and takes time and fyi it's only been 1 year so do not rush the animator

i know animatings hard and sometimes its hard to actually consistantly animate but do you have an estimated due date? or at least how much has been done, im just curious and dont care when it comes out im just excited to know when or how much is done -tiannah

I've just returned to this and its such a unique and compelling story! I think i mustve been 9 when i first discovered the series. I still cant believe how you wrote and animated this on your own. Just wanted to say i love your work

I keep rewatching this and I just LOVE the fighting scene of Thorn and Midnight ;W; It's so well done, all these sound effects.... Midnight in general, I love her as a character really this is so awesome ;W;
