Alcest played at Wacken on 5th of August and Kodama was officially released on 30th September. In a way, they wanted to keep secret their new songs

It’s possible to enjoy the depth of this stuff while also enjoying what’s mainstream. Both types of music are made for different people for different reasons, one to appeal to a fairly niche crowd, the other a much larger and more general group of people who like pop music because it’s generally more simple and easy to listen to. That isn’t to say there isn’t boundary-pushing pop music, but comparing the music Alcest make to pop music is like comparing apples to oranges.

I'm in love with this band, I've seen them 3 times in Mexico, the 3 times I've been in first row, I was literally the first or second person to arrive at the venue LOL. I always return to this video, listening to "écailles de lune Pt.2" live is one of my most precious memories. I met the band the second time, Neige is a beautiful human. I'm really happy for them. Para mi Alcest es una banda que con su música transmite una historia, puedes pensar en una síntesis de tu vida, en una película, un libro o en un cuento... Ellos te explican su historia y tu como espectador usas todos tus sentidos para disfrutar de ella, empezando por su introducción, pasando por el desarrollo y por último la conclusión final. Alcest es el resultado del los sentimientos que uno siente al largo de su vida, es mucho más profundo que simple música, es amor pero a la vez es miedo, es el camino que uno debe transitar por esta vida y en la que cada instante es un aprendizaje. Gracias por hacerme sentir tan afortunado al escuchar vuestra historia, nunca me cansaré de escucharos, llegasteis para formar parte de mi vida. Saludos
