How do you assemble the collage before you pour the resin? Do you leave them loose or tack the pieces in place or fully adhere the yupo to one and other? And what glues do you use(if any)? I’m use to using heavy matt gel to glue my acrylic collages.

Great video as always. Most of my questions answered but.... I have tried alcohol ink on a ceramic tile and put resin on top but all the colours ran and virtually disappeared (actually looked more like brusho powder!) if I try this again do I need to seal the tile before adding the resin coat and if so with what? Should I use one of the 2 sealers u used in the video?. It was so disheartening to see something I'd worked on literally fade away in front of my eyes and I want to avoid this happening again. Hope u can help?

Anthea Fraser ok well probably the substrate then. Did you seal them first? I know people who resin over jewelry and tiles. They spray with Krylon Kamar first to set, then Krylon UV Archival after sprays are dry before applying resin. Do this on a test piece. If it still bleeds then change resins.

Rita Gjefle I prefer Jacquard because of the colour and vibrancy over ranger. There are repeated complaints of running and fading with certain ranger colours over time. I have not tried arteC or spectrum noir yet.
@ritagjefle39957 жыл бұрын
Jane Monteith - Thank you. I have experienced some fading problems in the past with a particular brand I was using and that was disappointing. I like the vibrancy of the Piñatas also. It is encouraging to hear they don’t fade. I need to ask this, since I have quite a supply of the brand of ink that faded, when folks have problems with fading, is it mostly with the pinks?

So i searched online how to make alcohol ink at home but i cant find any videos on how to make white alcohol ink.....would it be the same process as making the other colours.....only wondering as its opaque and the other colours arent....would the ingredients (pigment paste and isopropyl alcohol)be the same in the white? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Michaela Sherrell it wouldn’t be the same because the white is pigment based not dye based.
