I lived here with my eldest for 6months and youngest for 3months, it’s so strange seeing the hospital empty! We used to walk all the corridors several times a day. The outpatient area ( beginning of the video) was always full and chaotic. The rooms you thought were for really ill children, they were for drs doing 24hrs shifts.

Hey!just watched your Alder Hay Hospital, I was taken there as a pre born in December 1966. You visited the intensive care unit, so just think I was in that unit. If it wasn't for the doctors and nurses there, I wouldn't be posting the in me 50s as I was not expected to live a day. Watching your video made me emotional, Bry.

It's quite sad to watch this because I've been going to Alder Hey monthly for 9 years and now it just feels really weird to be going to the new building and seeing the other building half knocked down every time you go past. It was especially weird to watch because the first place that you were after the intro is where I used to go for clinic.

Watching this brought back so many memories. Alder Hey saved my life when I was 6 and treated me until I was 18. Its so sad to see the artwork go to ruins. Whenever I had to be admitted, I would walk down the corridors with my mum some evenings when it was quieter and make up stories about the pictures. Amazing video!
@randomangelful6 жыл бұрын
The artist that did those murals is my cousin. He offered to do them again for free in the new hospital but Alder Hey declined. They’ve been there so long they were unable to save them from demolition. He still runs the company that does them and he does all sorts of charity art work for other places.

the hospital was retaining tissue and organs without the parents consent, from 88 to 95. It was only discovered when a mother looked deeper into her 11 month olds death and discovered a note from the pathologist to the surgeon saying he had retained her heart. There was a public enquiry in 99 and the truth finally came out.

It's easy to focus on the negative with Alder Hey, but it is a major and pioneering children's hospital that has saved the lives of countless children over the years. One of the jewels in the crown of the NHS, whose staff do an unfailingly excellent job in the face of endless Government cuts. I'm not denigrating the scandal, just putting it in perspective.

My best friends older brother was one of the many children who they found parts of in this hospital. it forever ruined the lives of my best friends family and still to this day his mother struggles with her sons death and the fact they had to dig him up and bury him more than 3 times after authorities continued to find more parts of him. It is extremely surreal to watch this, the fact so many things were left behind, paperwork and even genetic waste is mindblowing. The 0's on the walls of the wards freak me out too, its like something out of an apocalyptic movie. thank you so much for filming this and getting it out on youtube, its been a very emotional and thought provoking watch. As someone who lives so close to this but has never been i am extremely proud of how much work Alder Hey does for children everywhere. Theyre a truly amazing hospital.

When they found the parts of the children during the scandal they didnt identify them all at once, so my best friends mum kept getting calls saying they found more of her dead son up to years later. She had to exhume his grave everytime to rebury him with more of his body parts they found. Horrifying for any mother.

There has to be a distinction between adult and children's hospitals. Children's hospitals are needed for many reasons; there are childhood diseases many adults don't get, specialty doctors and nursing staff are needed for children, children feel safer in places just for them, etc., etc., etc.

This is the first time I’ve ever watched a video of yours and I’d like to say I really admire how respectful your guys were while exploring made me feel we still have hope for society yet! Not just because you don’t vandalise and chase damage but mainly how sensitive you were to the fact a lot god innocent kids went through unimaginable suffering and pain as I say it’s first time seeing a video of yours (defo won’t be the He last) but I was really taken aback ...actually had tears in my eyes....by how open you were with your emotions most men I know would either not be effected or if they were to proud and stubborn to say how they feel! I’m glad I found your channel..not just because I live in the uk but because A LOT Of the other urban explorers go int to amazing building some old and listed/protected and smash windows ..just because!?! Sure the buildings aren’t in use and often dilapidated but when you smash the windows you get flooding...floors cave in...animals...exposed asbestos exposed by deterioration black mood ..could make kids exploring really sick....the damp makes the building fall and crumble ...the ruins of the Romans will be around far longer than our modern ones 😒 makes me want to slap them !

Unfortunately your focus on the negative side of this hospital such as those whom died within its walls which yes is sad and heart breaking is a pretty negative attitude, Another way to look at it is to imagine the tens of thousands of children whom without this now defunct hospital would have surely perished if it was not for the expert care and attention they would have received whilst patients. I imagine within the comments there are plenty of ex patients who owe their life to the work carried out here?

Im sorry but the hospital is literally not at fault it’s a handful of nurses and doctors in that hospital that are farting about and a hospital cannot just say “yea go on take him” can they? It needs all sorts of approving for them to take Alfie home. I don’t half feel sorry for them but prove alder hey is hiding something.

Alder hay isn't hiding anything, they are doing as they are told by JUDGES. They can't just discharge him! If they really were NOT hiding anything why on earth isnt alfies mummy aloud into see her baby . Why are they stopping every person who comes and checking thier bags for things that could possibly save alfie . Why are they looking any reason 2 arrest alfies daddy . They wont let the baby go anywhere else because they have gave him the wrong medication . They have been hurting him to see if he can feel pain . They only want alfie dead so they can use his organs . His heart and his brain . The reason for this is they need 2 find out the exact thing that caused that in alfie . If you go and look on facebook on ALFIES ARMY OFFICIAL you can see they have been burning him to see if he can feel pain . They practically abuse that poor baby . The reason alfie cant go isnt because the judges say its because they have hurt alfie . They have gave him the wrong medication and if he went to italy they would tell the parents whats whent wrong and the parents would sue alder hey . They are sick and discusting people and i bet if it was thier child they would do anything to protect the child but because its not thier child they dont care . A little boy died in there he went in with arthritis and came back out in a body bag the little boy caught a disease of some sort in there and alder hey deserves every bad thing they get in thier life . To think that little boy isnt even 2 yet n they wanna kill him . ITS MURDER they want to give him a lethal injection that criminals have got for doing bad things and alfie hasnt done anything wrong and they wanna kill him . They are sick discusting people and i wish the absolute worst on then 😠

Wow. I worked there a year before you went exploring there, just as they were finishing the new hospital. It's so strange seeing it like this, I can still see it full of people and equipment. It doesn't look scary like a lot of the abandoned hospitals and places you've been before, probably because I've seen it when in use.

The thing that you said was an old ironing board looked to me like the boards we use to strap children down to do procedures like inserting an IV or drawing blood work. We have to strap them down onto a board like that with something that looks like a straight jacket when they’re too little and scared to be able to sit still. The place is creepy.

As an adult that needed a children's hospital as a child, I'm greatful that we have them. Now I'm a parent and I'm greatful that we have them if we need it for her. I still go to the one I went to as a child regularly, as my condition still isn't seen in adults too often.

@keirahinchey unless amelia is over 100 yo, the hospital would have been there when they were 6 as the old one, which they're exploring and was open till just a few years ago, was built in 1914
@lolarose41414 жыл бұрын
keira☁️ the papers of current and recent patients got moved to the new hospital through the tunnels. also her age wouldn’t matter with if she was admitted to alderhey or not as the hospital is over 100 years old.

The blue circles are where they are putting the detonation devices in the building to bring it down . It's getting tore down too much money to just do it by wrecking ball or tractor they are gonna dynamite it , that's what I was told by a contractor
