I have Irish ancestry, but I have ALWAYS felt a deep affinity for all things Scottish: TOOL KILTS, BAGPIPES, "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER, BIG COUNTRY, SHEENA EASTON, ETC. I am a multi-instrumentalist and my next instrument will be: "The Highland Bagpipes!" 😀 Actually, since I am moving into a condominium and do not want to disturb my neighbors, I am purchasing a "Blair Digital Chanter" that I can play through my headphones! 😊

Great video. Thanks. As a Led Zeppelin fan living in England, I've had a long-time fascination with Boleksine House and intended to visit for many years, without ever getting round to it. One interesting story that came out in a recent book was that Jimmy Page hosted fellow Crowley fan and rock superstar Ritchie Blackmore at the house in the early 1970s. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for that meeting of the two enigmatic guitar wizards.

It's been great to see your adventures in Scotland, being a Scot i'm all too aware of just how much legend and myth is in every corner of the land. But Loch Ness in particular is a spooky, eerie place....from Nessie, to Boleskine, to the tales of tunnels under the graveyard, medieval witches, demons on the loose in Foyers due to Crowleys dark Magick...it's great fun :)

This was amazing. I'm beginning to realise that there is so much for you to see while you are over here. In the Led Zeppelin film The Song Remains The Same, the house that Jimmy Page owned for a long time, and is at where he is sitting on the lawn playing the hurdy-gurdy in the movie, is at Plumpton just outside of Brighton. We'd often see him in Brighton wandering around The Lanes. And the ancient Elizabethan manor that Peter Grant owned, also in the movie, is just 20 minutes drive from the Jimmy Page house. Then there is Nottingham, with the pub called Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem, dating from 1189, with it's cursed galleon in a glass case. Everyone that has ever handled it has died within weeks. You'll love it here.

This was a great video. I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan, so just to see where Jimmy Page lived is like seeing history! I feel like I need to learn more about Alister Crowley now to complete the picture.

Jimmy didn't spend a lot of time there apparantely. He lived in his house, called the Boat House, in Pangbourne near Reading, then the Tower House in London. I think he only stayed at Boleskine a dozen or so times, sporadically.

Oh wow! I am a little envious you are in Scotland. My lineage on my Mom's side is Scottish/Irish. I would love to visit Scotland. And my Dad is a huge Led Zeppelin fan as well. I grew up with those records being played as a child and am a big fan myself. Loved this episode, well done!

Lovely filming. Great story telling. Love the fact that you presented that with the sounds of hammering and work going on up at the house. Very atmospheric. I think you should return one day.

Watching this in my room where I have a book opened since October to Aleister Crowley’s influence in the occult and biography. He is undoubtedly the foremost figure in modern occultism having started the Thelema movement. He’s fascinating and this video is glorious thank you Mr & Mrs Grimm! 🐦‍⬛✨🪦✨

Great Vlog Michael and Jessica. I’ve been to Boleskine Burial Ground about three or four times in the last 20 years, before the last fire, but even then the house was not accessible because it was a private home. In the video you say that the small building in the cemetery that was cordoned off, was a mortuary, but I’m sure I remember reading at the time I was there, that it was for family members to stay in while their deceased loved ones grave settled, as grave robbing was a big thing way back. I have been in that small building a few times. Inside it had a wooden staircase up to a mezzanine type floor, and on there was a small open fire place in the wall, which was covered in graffiti, mostly “666” and “Zoso” written everywhere. It was very small and cramped. I’m not sure a mortuary would have a fire place, so I think the family staying to watch over the freshly dug grave might be correct. I hope this helps. Great video. ✌🙏❤
