Hi Alek! I’m in my fifties, single income lady, looking to starting my own POD shop for financial security. Currently in healthcare but it’s expensive to keep paying for professional dues, CEUs, and books for my job. Etsy handles a lot of this on their end. While you should obviously do your own research, I've found it better to start selling and then get things figured out if any sales come in. Other wise you end up spending a ton of time trying to get things set up right, instead of actually selling.

Careful buying the ready made PNG designs. A lot of them are stolen and you could get a copyright infringement claim from the author against your shop. A good clue is if the png shop has tons of super cheap designs in a wide variety of styles. Typically designers stick to one style or make series of designs in the same style. If a shop is only selling bestseller design pngs in vastly different styles they’re most likely stolen. Authors have a hard time getting them taken down since they’re obnoxious and counter claiming everything. Myself and another Etsy friend have been dealing with a thief like that.
