My favorite is what my mother made with the name "Toad in a hole". Take a whole piece of bread, white or bran. Get a juice glass with a small rim & press the glass in the center of the bread to release a round piece of bread. Put the piece of bread in a fry pan with a small amount of butter. Crack the egg into the hole of the bread. Let it fry on one side until the bread is a little toasty then flip it over to let it bread again toasty. Salt & pepper & move to plate to eat. I grew up with this concoction. It's still my favorite & now my husband's! He never had anything like it while growing up.

My breakfast (as far as eggs go) here in New Zealand. I boil and mash together with extra virgin olive oil, potato/kumara/carrot. Enough to last a week and store in an airtight container in the fridge. For breakfast: one piece of toast with a layer, about 5 mm, of potato mash spread on top, . Next, a layer of Watties canned tomato pieces (cheapest and freshest way to buy the toms here. Next a layer of grated, reduced fat Mainland Tasty cheese. This is then fan baked in the oven at about 140 degrees for 20 mins or so until heated thru. Two free range eggs are poached slowly in enough water to cover them in a covered saucepan with a glass, lid so I can see when the yellow go whitish. Less than 2 minutes. then the heat is turned off, the lid removed and they sit for less than a minute after draining the water and placing on top of the toast. Eggs are still runny with just a little bit of solid yellow if I do it right. S & P to taste 😀.Enjoy. Probably not on a weight watchers diet recomendation tho?? I am 77 yoa and 60kgs and have this every morning.

The only so called mistake I make is raw eggs. 2 in a litre of milk, sugar, and vanilla. Put in freezer for 20 to 30 minuits. Enjoy. Been doing it for 40 years. I love eggs, fried, poached, boiled, add mayonnaise, salt, pepper, mustard, curry powder, and chilli for me, spread on bread for a great sandwich. I always check for cracked eggs before purchase, store in refrigerator, use in a week to 10 days. I am chiming in from Eggstralia, ( Australia) always wanted to try and emu egg. Equals 12 hen eggs.

I read that if you fry eggs there's a chemical change which occurs that causes cancer. "Oct 19, 2021 - Eggs can be a source of carcinogenic chemicals that are formed during high temperature frying. That would be consistent with the bladder cancer ..." "Even just a few eggs a week may be associated with a 19 percent greater risk of colorectal cancer, but if you hit three or more eggs a week, the increased risk may be as high as 71 percent.Oct 19, 2021"

@@IncrediblyHealthy I do love an omelette. Been eating a lot of american style scrambled eggs lately. 2 eggs, quarter of an onion diced. 1 tin of tuna with oil. Fry onions first half way. Add already stirred up tuna. Then the 2 eggs that have been beaten and add milk to bulk it up. Keep stirring all ingredients from the moment it is in the frying pan. Then turn down the heat to just above half way. ( I use electric, Half the heat from full, on all cookers.) Remember to stir all the time, dice and chop and stir. best scrambled eggs ever.

Eggs - or any other food for that matter - should never be cooked in any seed oil; it is deleterious to health! The best fat for frying eggs is the fat rendered when frying bacon. Second to that is pork lard. No other fat is necessary for either flavour or health.

@wilhelmtaylor98635 күн бұрын
@@michaelhaywood8262 → You're not keeping up. There is NOTHING wrong with saturated fats - they are the healthiest. Butter, ghee, bacon fat, lard and so on are the best fuel for the body. Seed oils are highly processed unnatural oils, essentially motor oil that's chemically treated to make it palatable. They are inflammatory and one of the prime factors in our current obesity epidemic.

How many of this list are applicable to hard boiled egge in the shell. I use old eggs often and dont have health consequences. Does boiling the whole eggs in the shell destroy outer bacteria? Great Video! This is very informative. If I could add some tips... Several common mistakes can affect both the nutritional value and safety of eggs. Consuming raw eggs reduces protein absorption to only 51% compared to 91% in cooked eggs. Overcooking eggs at high temperatures can reduce their vitamin A content by 17-20% and antioxidants by up to 18%. When eggs are cooked at very high temperatures, their cholesterol can become oxidized, potentially increasing heart disease risk3. Another crucial mistake is not properly storing eggs - they should be refrigerated in their carton and placed on the back shelf rather than the door. Always check eggs for cracks or visible dirt before purchasing. For more health and wellness topics, check out our channel. We have a new video up every Friday!
