I served in the Colorado, Colorado Springs mission and truly enjoyed every minute of it. smile emoticon I miss it every day and am so thankful for the people I was able to serve. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ and that because of this knowledge, I know that we can all make it back to our Father in Heaven and live with our families for eternity. smile emoticon

I grew up LDS but, have taken other paths in my life. Still Christian of course but, this song was so extremely powerful to me it brought me to tears. Something keeps drawing me to your music Mr Bouye . It wasn't until now but I realized you were LDS. God works in funny ways sometimes. I would love to meet you one day. I served in Portugal Lisbon North Mission from '94-'96. I enjoyed the gift of tongues. We sought to find those to teach and some listened. For me, Francis Webster, was a handcart pioneer, put it best: "The price we paid to become acquainted with God was a privilege to pay." Whether the world listens or not, in the last day, the Lord shall stand and proclaim the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as His true church. God loves those who sacrifice to serve Him and bring about His purposes.

I served in the "then" Gulf States Mission from 1970 to 1972 (Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, & Western Tennessee). It was an earlier time of political upheaval; not unlike today. It was humbling to meet sincere "searchers" who opened their hearts and homes to us and the light of the gospel during such trying times and circumstances. Thank you Alex for your music! It will become a theme song for when my wife of, 44 years, and I head out on our Senior Mission later this year. 😎

Your Facebook post brought me here, Alex. Californa San Diego Mission!! People shouted at us and threw things at missionaries from their cars all the time. On one such occasion, as empty words and beer bottles flew over our heads, the new sister I was training enthusiastically said, "Yes! Persecuted for the Gospel's sake!" We really did feel the honor of counting the "tribulation of the world" as a blessing for the sake of Jesus Christ and His atonement.

Wonderful tribute Alex. Our daughter served in the Washington, Vancouver mission. It was the greatest experience for her and for us, even though it was probably the hardest too. Many blessings came from her service, not to mention all the lives she touched. It forever changed all of us.
